About Join Our Next Adventure
When you sign up for these courses, you are not just sitting through a lecture. You will actually build your own shelter using local bamboo and leaves, light fires without matches, and learn how to track animals across the forest floor. It is physically demanding, hands-on, and designed for people who want to break out of their standard holiday routine to learn skills that might actually matter in the wild.
We skip the city amenities for a reason. Whether you choose our 24-hour crash course or the 3-day deep dive, the goal is the same: learning to thrive in the wild, not just survive it. You will work with trainers who have years of military and wildlife experience, meaning the lessons on navigation, foraging, and predator behaviour are based on real-world practice, not just internet tutorials.
What to expect from the training
We provide the sleeping bags, tents, and safety gear; you bring the willingness to get your hands dirty. We operate in the buffer zones of Jim Corbett, meaning you are close to the action but working in areas where you can safely focus on core bushcraft skills:
- Fire Craft: Learning to light fires using friction and steel, not lighters.
- Shelter Engineering: Knotting techniques and using forest materials for emergency housing.
- Navigation: Reading the land and sky to find your way without GPS.
- Foraging: Identifying edible plants and managing water sources.
If you choose the 3-day bootcamp, we include sessions on wildlife tracking—reading pugmarks and scat—and wilderness first aid, which covers protocols for treating injuries in isolation. We also introduce local Kumaoni culture, with evening campfire stories and interactions that give you a sense of how local tribes have thrived in these forests for generations. By the end, you earn an India Survival Academy certificate, but the real reward is the confidence that you can handle yourself when the path ends.
