This is it, our famous Sate Babi! Each skewer is packed with juicy, tender pork, grilled fresh at the festival. This is the dish everyone lines up for.
Our Nasi Bali Daging Pedas is a complete meal in a bowl. It's loaded with spicy meat, a whole egg, and crispy crackers, perfect for eating while you walk around the bazaar.
Meet our Iga Pedas, or Lightning Ribs! They are super spicy and full of flavor. We cook them all day in a big pot right at our stall.
We grill our pork satay fresh in big batches all day long. Come find our pop-up kitchen and grab them while they're hot!

We cook everything fresh at our pop-up stalls, so if you see a queue at our festival booth, jump in line early! Our Iga Pedas and Sate Babi are prepped in limited batches to keep that smoky charcoal flavor just right, so catching us before the 'sold out' sign goes up is part of the experience.
Authentic Indonesian Flavors on the Move
We are Big Daddy's Kitchen, and we love bringing the real taste of Indonesia to festivals and events all over Surabaya. We don't have a permanent shop. Instead, we bring our mobile kitchen wherever the crowd is. Whether it is a busy weekend bazaar or a private gathering, we serve food that is hot, spicy, and cooked right in front of you.
Our Crowd Favourites
People mostly come for the heat and the meat. Here is what we are best known for:
- Sate Babi: Our non-halal pork satay is the dish that starts the queues. We use large, tender chunks of pork shoulder and belly, glazed in Kecap Manis (Indonesian sweet soy sauce) and grilled over live charcoal for that authentic smoky finish. You get five large skewers per portion, served with fresh red shallots and bird's eye chilies.
- Nasi Bali Daging Pedas: This is a full meal in a bowl. It is our spicy Balinese rice bowl loaded with meat, a hard-boiled egg, and a massive prawn cracker for that essential crunch.
- Iga Pedas (Lightning Ribs): If you can handle the heat, these are for you. We simmer these ribs until they are tender and pack them with our signature 'Petir' (Lightning) spicy sambal. It is a bold, spicy favorite that we refill all day long.
Catering for Your Event
We do not just feed festival-goers. We also bring our pop-up setup to private parties for up to 40 guests. Our setup includes branded decor, our portable charcoal grill, and two staff members to handle the service for four hours. It is an easy, stress-free way to serve high-energy, flavorful food at your next event. Just bring your appetite and we will handle the rest.
