I design vibrant, fun setups for your Haldi and Mehendi ceremonies, mixing traditional marigolds with modern neon signs to create the perfect vibe.

An outdoor Haldi ceremony setup with a backdrop of marigold strings in geometric patterns. The traditional brass urli in the center is filled with flowers for the ritual.

A colorful Haldi stage with a floral arch and a royal white sofa. The backdrop features a "Haldi" neon sign, and the setup is completed with decorative Rajasthani umbrellas.

A simple and elegant Haldi backdrop for a home function. It features a green curtain with yellow and gold drapes, fairy lights, and a wooden "Haldi" sign.

About Haldi & Mehendi Functions

When you plan your Haldi, the setup needs to be more than just pretty, it needs to be practical for the messy business of applying turmeric. I use high-quality brass urlis and washable floor rugs so your photos look great, and you can focus on the ritual without worrying about the mess on your home carpets or hall floors.

Your Haldi or Mehendi is usually an intimate affair, and the decoration should reflect that. I focus on creating a space that feels festive without overwhelming your venue, whether it is a living room or a hotel hall.

My Approach to Haldi Decor

I believe in mixing the old with the new. You will see plenty of fresh marigold strings and yellow-green drapes because they define the tradition, but I like to add a modern twist. For many of my setups, I incorporate neon signs like 'Haldi' or 'Mehendi' and use sequin walls or wooden panels to give your photos a professional backdrop. It makes a huge difference in how your pictures turn out.

Practical Details for Your Event

  • Space Adaptation: I have worked in everything from tiny Mumbai flats to large banquet halls. If you are doing this at home, I use non-invasive mounting like masking tape and command hooks to protect your walls.
  • The Ritual Elements: I provide brass urlis (decorative basins) filled with flowers, which are essential for the Haldi ceremony. These act as the focal point for the ritual.
  • Setup Time: For home events, I usually require 2-3 hours for setup. For larger hall stages, I bring my team to handle the heavy-duty truss work beforehand, so the space is ready well before your guests arrive.

If you have a specific color theme or a reference photo you found online, just show it to me. I do not do cookie-cutter setups. Tell me what you imagine, and I will handle the sourcing and the installation.
