This video shows the very beginning of a design, where I'm carefully outlining a necklace-like pattern on the arm. Every great design starts with a confident first line.
About The Art in Motion
People usually see the final stain, but the real magic is in the rhythm of the cone. When I draw, I focus on the first line—the foundation of the design. Whether it is a delicate vine or a complex mandala, I work with a steady, relaxed hand because henna is a living art form. If you watch my process closely, you will notice I use a very light touch; this is not just for comfort, it helps the organic paste sit perfectly on your skin to guarantee that rich, deep maroon stain everyone wants.
Why Process Matters
The beauty of a deep, long-lasting stain does not start when you peel off the dry henna; it starts here, during the application. Many brides worry about the finish of the design. By sharing these behind-the-scenes clips, I want you to see that my patterns are built with patience and flow. I do not rush. Every swirl, floral leaf, and jharokha (window-style motif) is placed to complement your hand’s natural shape.
My Organic Approach
You will see in these videos that I use my own homemade, 100% organic henna cones. Because I make the paste myself, I know the consistency is perfect for fine lines. If you look at the close-ups of my work, you will see the sharpness of the edges—that is the result of using triple-sifted powder and essential oils like Eucalyptus, without any chemicals that burn or fade quickly.
Getting Your Design Right
Based in Frazer Town, I work with brides all over Bengaluru. Whether you want a minimalist Indo-Arabic look for a Sangeet or a heavy, figurative bridal design for your wedding day, the technique remains the same: steady pressure, clean lines, and pure, organic paste. If you have a specific pattern in mind—maybe something you saw online or a traditional motif you love—let us chat. I am always happy to explain how we can adapt a design to suit your event, your budget, and the kind of stain you are dreaming of.
