About Modern Fusion Wear
When I design fusion pieces like draped saree-gowns or crop-top sets, the secret is in the structural support. I use built-in padded cups and canvas fusing so the garment holds its shape even when you are dancing or moving around at your event. You won't be constantly adjusting your drape—it is built to move with you.
Fusion wear is about balancing the comfort of modern cuts with the richness of traditional Indian textiles. At my studio in Sadashiva Nagar, I help clients move away from rigid, heavy outfits that restrict movement, replacing them with designs that feel like a second skin.
Why Choose Fusion?
Most clients approach me for fusion outfits because they want a practical ensemble for high-energy events like a Sangeet or Mehendi. You need to be able to walk, dance, and interact without worrying about dupatta pins or slipping drapes. My designs—such as draped saree-gowns, embroidered crop-top sets, and capes—are constructed with this in mind.
The Construction Process
Unlike off-the-rack shopping, my process is entirely custom. During our initial consultation, we discuss the event, the venue, and your comfort level.
- Structural Fit: Whether it is a corset-style bustier or a one-shoulder top, I build in internal cups and use double lining so you do not have to wear separate shapewear or worry about the outfit sagging.
- Custom Draping: If you are opting for a pre-draped saree or a gown, I adjust the pleats and the fall based on your height and heel size, ensuring the silhouette is perfect from every angle.
- Fabric Selection: We work with silks that have enough weight to drape beautifully but are light enough to wear for hours.
If you have a specific vision—perhaps a mix of a Kanchivaram silk skirt with a contemporary crop top—we can prototype the look to ensure it hits the right balance between classic and modern.
