A glimpse into my approach: capturing the unscripted, chaotic, and beautiful moments that define a wedding day, entirely in-camera.
The Jaimala is a peak moment of celebration. I positioned myself to capture not just the couple's interaction, but also the energy of the event, using the background fireworks to frame them in a truly cinematic and unforgettable way.
This is what I mean by capturing the real stuff. An unscripted laugh shared between the couple during the ceremonies. These are the genuine moments, captured with a fast lens to preserve the natural light and emotion.
A bride's personality should shine through. This shot was a spontaneous moment, capturing her fun side. It shows that wedding photography doesn't always have to be formal; it can be cool, modern, and authentic to you.
A pre-wedding shoot is about capturing the connection between two people. Here, I used a long lens, the Sony G Master 70-200mm, to create a soft, out-of-focus background, making the couple's gentle interaction the sole focus of the image.
I am always looking for creative ways to frame a shot. By using a reflection, I could create this timeless bridal portrait that feels both classic and artistic. The bokeh from the lights adds depth and a dreamlike quality.
A classic groom portrait is essential. For this shot, I used a vintage processing style to match the royal aesthetic of the groom's attire and the decor. The lighting is carefully controlled to highlight the textures of the sherwani and sehra.
Details tell a story. This close-up of the bride's mehendi isn't just about the henna art; it features a custom doli design, a deeply personal and meaningful element of her wedding story, captured with a sharp macro perspective.
The 'phere' are a sacred part of the ceremony. I chose a low angle and black and white processing to add a sense of drama and timelessness to this important ritual, focusing on the movement and the bond between the couple.
About Featured
I believe in getting the shot right the first time. For me, photography isn't about fixing things in post-production; it's about using the right lens, light, and timing to capture the reality of your day exactly as it unfolds. When you look at these images, you are seeing what I saw in the moment, not a digital recreation.
My work focuses on the technical discipline of photography. Whether I am shooting a traditional Jaimala or a quiet bridal portrait, I rely on my Sony Alpha systems and Zeiss lenses to produce sharp, high-contrast images. I don't believe in relying on heavy editing to salvage a shot.
My Technical Approach
- In-Camera Precision: I capture raw emotions and rituals with minimal staging. My goal is to be an observer, not a director, ensuring that the laughter, tears, and energy are authentic.
- Lighting Control: Using techniques like off-camera flash allows me to create dramatic, editorial-style portraits even in challenging indoor venues across Delhi NCR.
- Detail-Oriented: I document the environment, from mehendi patterns to jewelry textures, as these elements are as vital to your story as the couple's portraits.
From the busy lanes of Delhi to destination wedding venues, I maintain this standard. My gear is merely a tool to interpret the scene, but the vision remains focused on the human element. If you value technical proficiency and honest documentation over staged poses, my style aligns with yours.
