About Romantic Couple Portraits
Many couples worry about looking stiff in front of a camera, but my process is designed to strip that away. I prefer an editorial direction where I set the scene—using the architecture, light, and your natural chemistry—and then let you interact. We will take a few minutes at the start of our session to just walk and talk, which usually helps everyone relax before we get to the portraits that actually look like you.
Whether we are shooting in a quiet garden in Navi Mumbai or a grand hotel ballroom, my goal remains the same: capturing the intimacy of your relationship. I do not believe in forcing smiles or unnatural stances. Instead, I use an editorial approach, which means I look for the drama in the shadows and the softness of natural light to frame you.
I often mix vibrant color portraits with classic black and white frames. The black and white shots are usually where we find the most raw, quiet emotion, like the way you hold each other’s hands or a lingering glance. For the color photos, I pay close attention to the details, like your outfits and the venue’s decor, ensuring they pop without overpowering the two of you.
If you are feeling camera-shy, that is actually my favorite kind of shoot. We start slow. I guide you into poses that feel comfortable, and then I step back to capture the reactions. This is how we get those candid engagement photos where you are genuinely laughing or focused on the rings. If you are planning a session, consider the time of day, as golden hour in Kharghar or early morning light usually gives us the softest glow for your portraits.
