About The Foundation: Nail Prep & Extensions
A lot of people ask if extensions damage their natural nails. The secret is in the prep! I do a full dry manicure with careful cuticle work and proper buffing before I apply any gel. This way, the product actually grips the nail bed, keeping ur extensions firm for 3 to 4 weeks without lifting.
Good nail art isn't just about the final look, it's about the base. Whether ur getting simple gel polish or full-on designer extensions, I start with a deep clean. My process involves proper sanitization using an isopropyl alcohol solution to remove any impurities.
I don't soak ur hands in water for the manicure; instead, I use a dry manicure technique with precise cuticle pushing and light buffing. This prevents water absorption, which helps the gel base coat bond properly to ur natural nail plate.
Once the surface is ready, I use a dehydrator and primer. This is the crucial step that prevents lifting. For extensions, I use high-quality hard gel or polygel sculpted onto forms or tips to give u that perfect shape—coffin, stiletto, or almond. I seal everything with a top coat and finish with cuticle oil so ur hands look fresh and hydrated.
