Afro-Bolly & Bolly-Tech Fusion DJ Sets
I blend the heavy, rhythmic beats of Afro House with the infectious energy of Bollywood and Punjabi music. It is a signature sound designed to turn your sangeet or club night into a proper rager.
A perfect example of my Afro-Bolly style. I took the classic song "Pal Pal" and reimagined it with an Afro beat, creating a moment of pure energy at Mirage, Mumbai.
Dropping a fire Bollywood Afro edit at 3 AM is always a power move. The crowd's reaction when they hear a familiar track with a new, unexpected beat is what I live for.
Even a chilled "coffee rave" can turn into a full-blown party when you drop the right Bolly-Tech house edit. This clip shows the moment the beat drops and the whole vibe shifts.
Throwing it back with some classic Honey Singh at my 360 show in Bangalore. Good Punjabi music is timeless, and it’s a guaranteed way to get the entire crowd singing and dancing.
A shot from when I dropped my Afro Bolly set at Mercii, India. I love mixing these genres, and this night was a perfect example of how well they work together to create a non-stop party.
The crowd's energy is everything. This was taken just before I started an exclusive Afro Bolly and Tech House set for a Talwiinder concert event, and the anticipation was amazing.
The scene at Mercii was a movie. This video captures the lights, the energy, and the packed dance floor during my Afro Bolly set.
A view from my perspective at the DJ booth at Mercii. I'm locked into the mix, watching the crowd and feeling the energy build with every track.
About Afro & Bolly-Tech Fusion
My Afro-Bolly sets are not just about playing tracks. I spend hours in the studio specifically reworking classic Bollywood songs with modern Afro-House and Tech-House percussion. This means you get the familiarity of the hits everyone knows, but with a bassline that keeps the energy in the room at a constant, high-octane level throughout the night, ensuring the dance floor stays packed.
The Fusion Approach
Most events struggle to bridge the gap between high-energy clubgoers and the family crowd. My solution is the Afro-Bolly and Bolly-Tech fusion. I take the most popular Punjabi and Bollywood anthems and flip them with Amapiano or Melodic Techno basslines. This keeps the track recognizable to all generations while giving it the deep, driving rhythm of a modern festival set.
Why This Works for Weddings & Sangeets
For sangeets, the vibe needs to shift from a ceremony to a party. When I spin these fusion sets, I am not just hitting play on a playlist. I am actively reading the room. If the energy dips, I drop a bass-heavy remix that forces the room to move. I have used this approach at venues like Mirage and Mercii in Mumbai, turning standard receptions into movie-like experiences.
Technical Requirements
To pull this off, the production needs to match the performance. I work best when the venue provides industry-standard club gear (4x CDJ 3000s and a DJM mixer). This setup allows me to layer these complex beats seamlessly without any audio lag. If you are planning an event, we will have a pre-event call to establish your 'Vibe Check'—I want to know exactly which tracks you need to hear and, just as importantly, which ones we are keeping off the list.
