We approach disputes as business risks, not just legal battles. Here is how we translate complex regulatory challenges into decisive, commercially sound victories before India's highest courts.

A significant victory where my team and I successfully represented HDFC before the Supreme Court against IL&FS. The Court allowed our client to recover its dues from rent receivables, a crucial outcome within the complex, NCLAT-supervised insolvency process of the IL&FS group. This case underscores our strategic approach to navigating large-scale corporate insolvency litigation.

We successfully represented Tata Steel before the Supreme Court in a case that reinforced the strict timelines under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC). The Court held that the NCLAT cannot condone delays beyond the statutory 15-day period for appeals, a landmark judgment that preserves the efficiency of the insolvency resolution process.

In a significant decision for financial creditors, we successfully represented L&T Finance before the NCLT, Mumbai, to initiate insolvency proceedings against Tikona Infinet. The tribunal accepted our argument that Compulsorily Convertible Debentures (CCDs) can be treated as debt, clarifying the nature of such hybrid instruments under the IBC.

We successfully represented His Holiness Dr Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin in a landmark succession case before the Bombay High Court. After a decade of litigation, the court validated his appointment as the 53rd Dai-al-Mutlaq of the Dawoodi Bohra Community, a judgment with significant global implications.

My firm successfully represented the HHI Group in a major cyber negligence case against a leading telecom provider. We secured a compensation of ₹2.75 Crores for our client, setting a strong precedent for corporate accountability in cases of financial loss resulting from unauthorized SIM replacements and breaches under the IT Act, 2000.

We achieved a decisive win for homebuyers before the Calcutta High Court, which ordered the demolition of an unauthorized 26-story tower. This judgment established that homeowner consent under the West Bengal Apartment Ownership Act is mandatory, overriding municipal approvals for structural additions.

Representing Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited, we successfully challenged the arbitrary rejection of their tender by railway authorities. The Calcutta High Court set aside the rejection, reaffirming the principle that public undertakings must adopt a transparent and fair selection process.

Two of our significant matters were recognized in the India Business Law Journal's 'Deals of the Year 2023'. This includes our Supreme Court win for HDFC in the IL&FS case and our work on Tata Power's renewable energy contract, highlighting our expertise in both high-stakes litigation and complex transactions.

About Landmark Judgments & Case Wins

We approach every litigation as a critical business event, prioritizing outcomes that safeguard your bottom line. Our record includes landmark victories, such as securing recovery for HDFC in the IL&FS insolvency proceedings and establishing strict precedents in cyber negligence cases for the HHI Group. Whether we are enforcing IBC timelines for Tata Steel or resolving complex succession disputes, our strategy remains focused on technical precision and decisive results, not merely active participation in court proceedings.
