Behind the Scenes with Vishal Malhotra
People see the final performance, but here is what happens before the mic goes on. From morning dance routines to sound checks, this is how I stay charged to lead your party.
This is what my mornings look like at an event. A true Yo Yo Honey Singh fan needs his music to get the josh high before a show. This is how I get into the zone.
About Behind the Scenes
Most of the magic happens before I ever step on stage. When you see me holding a mic, you are seeing the result of a rigorous 60-minute sound check and a deep dive into your family dynamics. I take that prep time seriously because knowing the details—from your dadi's name to your best friend's dance song—is the only way to make the event feel personal rather than scripted.
Most people think an anchor just picks up the mic and starts speaking. It is actually about understanding the family dynamic beforehand. During our pre-event video calls, I dive into the details, because if I do not know your uncle’s name or your grandma’s favorite song, I cannot connect with them on the mic. My 'Behind the Scenes' is all about this work—the sound checks, the script adjustments, and the mental preparation that allows me to transition from a calm professional to the high-energy host your Sangeet or Baraat needs.
I treat your family like my own, so when I am out there, I am not acting. I am just part of the celebration. Whether it is a destination wedding in Jaipur or a pool party in Mumbai, the preparation remains the same. I ensure the DJ cues are perfect, the entry flow is smooth, and every guest feels engaged from the moment they walk in. I don't believe in stiff, formal scripts. I believe in being the heartbeat of the event, and that starts long before the lights go up.
