A Peek Into My Crochet Process
Want to know how those forever flowers and bow bags come to life? Here is a little look at my chaotic, yarn-filled process in Mumbai.
A quick recap of all the fun things I got to make in October. It was a month full of bow bags and cute couple keychains.
Here's a video of me working on a piece, followed by a roundup of some of the orders I shipped out in September, including bags and flower bouquets.
Someone asked me to rank my top life decisions, and honestly, learning to crochet is number one. It lets me make all this cool stuff for you guys.
About A Peek Into My Process
It is not just about grabbing a hook and some yarn. When I work on custom pieces, I am obsessed with the details, whether it is color matching for a specific character plushie or getting the stitch tension perfect for a tote bag. Every piece you see here started as a random idea and a lot of trial and error.
You might wonder what actually goes into making these. I use high-quality 4-ply acrylic or milk cotton yarn for everything because the texture matters. If you are ordering a plushie, I use hypoallergenic polyfill so it stays squishy and safe.
Why I do what I do
People often ask why I focus on 'forever flowers' instead of fresh ones. It is simple, yaaar. Regular flowers are nice, but they wilt in a few days. My crochet flowers and gajras last forever, hai na? Plus, I can customize the colors to match your outfit or decor exactly.
The Customization Process
Everything is made from scratch. When you come to me with a wild idea, we start by picking the color palette and the type of yarn. For keychains, I decide between a 2D or 3D build based on the character complexity. If you want a Batman or Hello Kitty keychain, I pay attention to the small hardware details like the clasp, so it actually looks cool on your bag.
I treat every project like it is my own. Whether it is a structural bow bag or a tiny strawberry bookmark, it has to be durable enough for daily use. If you have an idea, even if it feels random, just share it. I love figuring out how to make it happen.
