A selection of my most significant wildlife encounters. From rare bird courtship displays to the quiet gaze of endangered primates, each image captures a story of patience, travel, and unfiltered nature.

Love is in the air. This is a shot I worked hard to get, capturing the stunning mid-air acrobatics of a male Pin-tailed Whydah as he performs his courtship dance for a female. This African species is an uncommon resident in Singapore, and witnessing this behavior was a true privilege.

I was incredibly fortunate to encounter this Red-shanked Douc Langur during a trip to Vietnam. This endangered primate, with its distinct maroon "stockings," is found only in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. Finding such a beautiful and rare species ranging freely was a moment of pure joy.

The sheer elegance of a Painted Stork taking flight is a sight to behold. I captured this large wader in India, where their colors are especially vibrant. This shot, with its wings spread in a display of power and grace, is a testament to the beauty found in the wetlands of tropical Asia.

What looks like an embrace is actually a fierce territorial dispute between two Malayan Water Monitor Lizards. I stumbled upon this raw display of power in Singapore's Lower Peirce Reservoir Park. It's a powerful reminder that nature, while beautiful, is also untamed.

There is nothing quite like the sight of a White-bellied Sea Eagle soaring against a clear blue sky. This magnificent raptor, a resident of coasts and waterways from India to Australia, is a master of the skies. Capturing its powerful flight is a challenge I always relish.

The striking contrast of a Brown-throated Sunbird against the vibrant red of a flower is a perfect example of nature's artistry. I found this common but beautiful bird in the rainforests of Borneo, a moment of quiet beauty amidst the jungle's symphony.

If looks could kill. This is the intense, prehistoric gaze of a Komodo Dragon, a species found only on a few islands in Indonesia. Getting this close to the world's largest lizard required patience and a steady hand, but the resulting portrait was worth every second.

The Five-bar Swordtail is one of the most stunning butterflies I have ever encountered. Its intricate patterns and vibrant green stripes make it a true jewel of the forest. I captured this shot of it mud-puddling on the ground in Borneo, a behavior butterflies use to absorb nutrients.

After years of searching, I finally had an encounter with the critically endangered Raffles' Banded Langur in Singapore. With only about 60 individuals left in the country, these primates are notoriously shy and difficult to spot. This quiet moment was a deeply rewarding experience.

A sky filled with thousands of migrating Lesser and Greater Flamingos is a truly breathtaking spectacle. I captured this flock during their annual wintering period in Mumbai, India. The sheer scale and harmony of their flight is a powerful display of the natural world.

About Featured

I shoot all my work handheld using a Canon EOS R5, which allows me to stay mobile and reactive in wild environments. Rather than relying on heavy equipment, I prioritize sitting for hours to let the wildlife become accustomed to my presence, ensuring the moments you see are real and unscripted.

Storytelling through the Lens

Every photograph in this collection serves as a portal to a specific time and place. Whether it is the intense, prehistoric stare of a Komodo Dragon in Indonesia or the vibrant display of a Sunbird in Borneo, my goal is to document the animal's behavior rather than just its appearance.

Technical Precision

Using the Canon EOS R5 allows for high-speed, sharp captures in varying light conditions, from the dark canopy of a rainforest to the open wetlands of Mumbai. I focus on documenting behaviors like courtship, territorial disputes, and migration, providing context with every piece to ensure you understand the subject beyond the image.

Preserving the Wild

These images are available as museum-quality Giclée prints, designed to last over a century. Each print includes a detailed Species Story Card, which provides behavioral facts and location context, turning a simple wall art piece into an educational addition to your home. We ensure your artwork is protected, using archival 310 GSM cotton rag paper and shatter-resistant glazing for framed pieces.

Ethical Fieldwork

My approach relies on field research and ethical observation. By understanding the habitats of species like the Raffles Banded Langur or Painted Storks, I minimize environmental impact while maximizing the opportunity for natural, honest photography.
