Behind the scenes of my legal practice
Law happens outside the courtroom, too. Here is a glimpse into how I prepare cases, research in the library, and represent clients from Bangalore to the Supreme Court.
At the Supreme Court of India, where the most significant legal battles in the country are fought. My practice is equipped to handle matters at every level of the judicial system.
Another day at the Supreme Court. The grandeur of the institution is a constant reminder of the responsibility we carry as advocates.
Pictured here at the Karnataka High Court. I am familiar with the workings of various high courts, allowing me to effectively represent clients across different jurisdictions.
Reviewing case notes outside the courthouse. Preparation is key, and I often spend quiet moments before a hearing to ensure every detail is fresh in my mind.
Walking into court with the necessary documents. My goal is to make the legal process as smooth and stress-free as possible for you.
In the law library, surrounded by centuries of legal knowledge. Thorough research is the backbone of every strong case I build for my clients.
A quiet moment of study in my office. Staying updated on the latest legal developments and precedents is crucial to providing the best possible representation.
A glimpse of the Supreme Court parking lot. It's a place where you see the convergence of legal minds from all over the country, all working within the justice system.
A few snapshots from my work travels, including visits to the Punjab and Haryana High Court and the District and Session Court in Gurgaon. My work often takes me wherever my clients need me.
Taking a moment after a long day of hearings. While the work is demanding, achieving a just outcome for a client makes it all worthwhile.
About In My Element: At Court & In Office
You might see the black robe and the court halls, but the real work happens in the quiet moments before a hearing. Whether I am scouring the library for the right precedent or drafting a notice at my desk in Vijayanagar, I am constantly mapping out the strategy that will give you the best chance in court. It is not just about showing up; it is about knowing the path ahead.
People often ask what a lawyer actually does when they aren't arguing in front of a judge. The answer is preparation. Every court appearance, whether it is a district forum or the Supreme Court of India, rests on the work done weeks or months in advance.
My practice at Shyame Gowda Advocates in Vijayanagar, Bengaluru, is where I review bills, analyze communication histories, and draft the notices that often resolve issues before they ever reach a judge. When I am not in the office, I am traveling to courts across the country to stand by my clients in person. This involves meticulous research into case law and handling the procedural paperwork—Vakalatnamas, affidavits, and written arguments—that keeps a case moving.
Law is complex, but it shouldn't be a mystery to you. By demystifying the process, I ensure you understand exactly what is happening with your case at every stage. If you are facing a legal dispute, you do not just need someone to represent you; you need a partner who is just as invested in the preparation as they are in the final argument.
