The Person Behind the Lens: My Story
I believe that the best photos happen when you feel comfortable. Here is a look at the journey and the philosophy that shaped my approach to your photography.
Being invited to speak at Josh Talks was a milestone for me, where I shared my personal story of becoming a mother. This experience reinforced my belief in the power of authentic storytelling, a principle that I carry into my photography to capture the true spirit of a brand or person.
This moment at the Josh Talks studio represents my passion for connecting with people through stories. Whether on a stage or behind the camera, my goal is always the same: to create something honest and impactful that resonates with the audience.
About My Story: The Person Behind the Camera
Authenticity is the foundation of my work, which is why I avoid studio setups entirely. Whether I am shooting a fashion lookbook or a family portrait, I stick to natural light and outdoor locations, because that is where the real, unposed moments happen.
When you invite someone to capture your most raw moments, you need to trust the person behind the lens. I have learned through my own journey—from the challenges of pregnancy to the messy, magical reality of motherhood—that a photo is only as good as the emotion behind it.
I am not just a photographer who shows up to click a shutter button. I am someone who values realness over perfection. When we work together, I am looking for that same honesty. I want to capture the laughter that feels genuine, the way fabric moves in the wind, and the quiet connection between loved ones.
My approach is built on three simple principles:
- Comfort First: Pregnancy taught me that when you are relaxed, your glow shines through. I keep sessions chill and free of stiff posing.
- Natural Light Only: I prioritize golden hour and outdoor settings to ensure your images look soft, dreamy, and true-to-life.
- Story-Driven: Whether it is a brand campaign for an ethnic wear line or your child's first birthday, we work together to tell a story that feels like you.
I share my own story—the podcast appearances, the struggles, and the small wins—because I want you to know exactly who you are working with. If I can be open with you, I know we can create images that actually matter.
