Intricate Hand Embroidery & Craftsmanship
I believe the smallest details make the biggest impact. From traditional Zari and Dabka to modern Katdaana, see how these hand-embroidered textures bring my rental gowns to life.
A closer look at the delicate hand embroidery on the pink gown. Each pearl and sequin is carefully placed to create a soft, dreamy effect on the off-shoulder cape.
This is the kind of craftsmanship I love. An extreme close-up of Zari and Dabka hand embroidery, showing the texture and detail that make each piece special.

About The Art of Hand Embroidery
When you're picking a rental gown, look closely at the weight and type of embroidery. If it is a light cocktail event, opt for my sequin and pearl-detailed net gowns because they move beautifully without feeling heavy. If you are heading to a traditional reception, the heavier Zari and Dabka pieces provide that structured, rich look you need, but keep in mind they require a little more care while moving due to the density of the metal threads.
Why Real Craftsmanship Matters
Machine work is fast, but it doesn't have the soul of hand-placed embroidery. When I source fabrics or work on pieces, I look for how the light catches the sequins and how the Katdaana beads sit against the fabric.
Understanding Our Embroidery Styles
- Zari & Dabka: These are the backbone of Indian wedding glamour. Zari gives you that royal, metallic sheen perfect for night events. Dabka adds texture and dimension that simple prints just cannot replicate. These are heavier, so they are best for receptions or sangeet functions where you want to stand out.
- Katdaana & Beads: If you want sparkle without the weight, these are my go-to. They are incredibly versatile and look stunning on Indo-Western silhouettes. They catch the light beautifully in photographs, making them a favorite for engagement ceremonies.
- Sequin & Pearl: These create a soft, romantic effect. I love using these on net or georgette bases to create a dreamy, feminine vibe. They are lighter on the body, making them comfortable for longer parties.
Rental Fitting & Care
I operate from my home in Gurugram, which allows me to be very hands-on with your fitting. When you rent a heavy Zari piece, we will look at the torso fit specifically because heavy embroidery limits how much we can alter a garment. We include custom torso adjustments in the rental price, so the piece feels like it was made for you for that one night. Everything is professionally dry-cleaned before it reaches you, ensuring the metallic threads stay bright and the delicate beadwork remains intact.
