You will not find pre-recorded playlists here. I build every mashup and transition live, reacting to how the room feels. Whether it is adding a pounding tech-house backbone to a classic like 'O Womaniya' or blending melodic techno with Bollywood vocals, my goal is to keep the energy tight and the drops unexpected.
Rethinking the Bollywood Sound
Most DJs just line up tracks. I approach the console differently. My 'Bolly-Tech' sets are built from the ground up, merging the rhythmic structures of underground tech-house and deep melodic techno with the commercial hits you actually know the lyrics to. It is the perfect middle ground for crowds that want that global festival sound but still want to sing along.
The Setup and The Sound
I strictly work with industry-standard Pioneer DJ setups, specifically the CDJ 2000 NXS2 or 3000 series, to ensure the sound quality is crisp even when pushed hard. My sets generally fall into two categories:
- The Peak Hour Bolly-Tech: A 90 to 120-minute masterclass in high-tempo energy. Think heavy bass, driving kicks, and those sudden, high-voltage vocal drops that get the room jumping.
- The Progression Set: A 4-hour journey. We start slow with deep, atmospheric house vibes, building gradually until the room is ready for the peak-hour madness.
Why it works
Whether I am playing at a college festival or a private wedding, the logic stays the same: read the room. If the crowd needs more Punjabi influence, I lean into it. If they are feeling the deep melodic vibe, I take the set to a darker, more hypnotic place. I am not just hitting play on a USB, I am on the mic, hyping the floor, and syncing the transitions to the energy I see in front of me. If you have an LED wall or a professional projector, bring in a VJ to pair with my set for a full-blown visual rave.
