The Heart Behind Sketchink Studio
I am an architect by day and an artist by night. This is the story of the late nights, the hustle, and the handmade joy that goes into every single creation.
My corporate job handles the bills, but this side hustle brings me so much joy. It allows me to choose little joys for myself and see my loved ones smile. This small business is my happy place.
Somewhere between art, architecture, and life, I'm chasing my ridiculous dreams. This is a glimpse into my life, from spinning with joy to finding discipline at the gym. It’s all part of the journey.
Not a ramp walk, just an architect on a construction site. This is the other side of my life, where my brain is doing a million calculations at once. It’s a different kind of creativity.
I'm working hard so that one day I can also say, "I've done it, and it's possible." I'm trusting the universe and putting in the work, believing that it will all pay off.
My first-ever flea market experience was a huge leap of faith. I invested over ₹15,000 in my stall, with no idea what to expect. It was terrifying and exciting all at once.
In the first three days, I only made back a fraction of what I spent. Because my work is so customized, I had very little to sell on the spot. It was a tough lesson to learn.
But by the end, it was all worth it. I gave away 500 visiting cards, met amazing artists, and heard strangers say, "Your work is beautiful." That feeling was priceless.
About this collection
Every piece here is a story I have lived or a memory I have helped preserve. Because I balance a corporate job with my art, I limit my orders to ensure I can put my heart into every sketch, every burnt edge, and every hand-poured wax seal. When you commission a piece, you are getting the result of my late-night experiments and my dedication to this craft.
People often ask how I manage to be an architect on construction sites by day and run Sketchink Studio by night. It is a balancing act, but it is my reality. My mornings are for structural drawings and site visits, while my nights belong to kraft paper, dried flowers, and the messy process of creating things by hand.
I never learned art in a classroom. I learned by trying, failing, and constantly experimenting with materials. When you order a memory scrapbook or a handwritten scroll, you are not receiving something mass-produced. You are receiving pieces of my journey, my love for vintage aesthetics, and the same resilience that helps me manage my day job.
Why Handmade Matters I create because I believe in the power of real things in a digital world. Whether it is a personalized magazine or a guest wish board, every element is put together by me. I source the paper, press the flowers, and write the calligraphy. It is slow work, but that is the point. I want to build things that last.
If you are looking for standard, off-the-shelf gifts, my studio might not be the right fit. But if you want a keepsake that captures a moment, like a vintage frame for an anniversary or an interactive flap book for a birthday, I am here to help you turn that memory into something you can hold.
Sketchink Studio
I am Isha. By day, I am sketching blueprints; by night, I am covered in glue and wax seals at my art table. This studio is my therapy, my hustle, and my way of proving that a girl can manage it all—the job, the gym, and the art.
