Creative Moments and Personal Reflections

Sometimes, inspiration finds us in the simple things—the rhythm of rain, the golden hour light, or a quiet moment with coffee. This is a collection of my creative explorations, the moods that shape my work, and the stories behind the lens.

The word 'Mazha' (rain) feels like home to me. This video is a collection of moments capturing the rain in Kerala, a constant source of inspiration that brings a calm, moody, and real feeling to my work.

A short video about the importance of slowing down and resting. On Sundays, I reset with coffee, books, and quiet moments, which helps me stay creative and inspired throughout the week.

The beautiful shadow play of the setting sun in my studio. I find so much inspiration in these fleeting moments of light and shadow, a simple reminder of the beauty in the ordinary.

A rare moment of me in front of the camera, shooting in a saree for Onam. It was a special experience to be the subject for once, captured beautifully by my cousin.

The lush green of a banana plant after the rain. This color palette of green and brown is something I am naturally drawn to in my work; it feels calm, rooted, and a bit nostalgic.

Raindrops on a window pane, with the view of a traditional tiled roof. This is a classic Kerala monsoon scene that always makes me feel grounded.

A shot of a building with traditional Kathakali mural art, seen during a rainy day. It’s these cultural details that I love to incorporate into my visual stories.

About this collection

You won't find perfectly posed studio models here. Instead, these shots are about the pauses I take between projects—the way light hits my studio, the feeling of home, and the 'mazha' (rain) that inspires my color grading. When I shoot for your brand, I bring this exact eye for the quiet, real moments that make people actually stop and look.

My journey behind the lens wasn't linear. It started with a simple, reluctant 'yes' in 2021 and grew into a deep love for capturing stories. When you look at my work—whether it is a recipe video or a lifestyle shoot—I am not just framing a product. I am looking for the texture, the warmth, and the feeling of home.

My philosophy is rooted in 'mazha' energy. It is calm, grounded, and occasionally moody. That reflects in my signature aesthetic: earthy tones, natural light, and a heavy reliance on the Fujifilm ecosystem to get those film-like textures. I shoot with the intent of making your audience feel like they are right there with us.

Behind the scenes, whether we are in my Hinjawadi studio in Pune or on location in Kochi, my process is deeply collaborative. We do not just click buttons. We build a narrative, we style with purpose, and we let the unexpected moments happen. If you want visuals that feel like they have a soul, let us talk. 🤎✨

I am Nayana, and I run 9A Pixels. I spend my days chasing small, messy, beautiful moments—like making murukku with my son or catching the afternoon sunlight. If you want someone to help you tell your brand’s story with warmth, we will get along just fine.
