Giant CGI Ads in Real-World Locations
I build hyper-realistic Faux Out-of-Home (FOOH) ads that stop the scroll. By integrating your product into iconic locations with precise lighting and physics, I create digital illusions that look like they are actually happening.
Here, I imagined a giant Coca-Cola can being unveiled from a red cloth on top of a building in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). This type of large-scale CGI stunt is designed to create a massive buzz on social media.
This concept places a shopping cart from Reliance SMART, overflowing with Freshzap products, right on a Mumbai local train platform. It’s a creative way to blend a product directly into the everyday life of the city, making the ad feel both surprising and relatable. The video starts with the wireframe to show the 3D tracking process.
For this concept, I placed a giant Freshzap air freshener inside the famous Dubai Frame, with flower petals flying around it. This shows my ability to integrate CGI elements into international landmarks, creating a sense of global scale and wonder for a brand.
In this faux out-of-home ad, a massive bottle of Beardo's Whisky Smoke perfume stands tall over the cityscape of Vatican City. The animation shows balloons being released from the cap, adding a touch of surreal celebration to the powerful product placement.
About Giant CGI in Real-World Locations
A lot of people think these videos are shot on a drone or phone, but it is pure digital craft. I spend hours on matchmoving—pinning that 3D object to the real-world footage so it respects physics, shadows, and camera movement. If you want a giant product reveal that looks like it belongs in the shot, we need a high-resolution backplate of your location, and I handle the rest to make sure it doesn't look like a floating sticker.
My focus is on making the digital feel physical. When I create a Faux Out-of-Home (FOOH) ad, I do not just paste a 3D model over a video. I match the HDRI lighting, calculate the sun's direction, and rotoscope the foreground elements—like trees or people—so the product sits naturally in the space. Whether it is a perfume bottle towering over a cityscape or a shopping cart on a local train platform, the goal is to create that moment where a viewer pauses and asks, 'Is this real?'
The Craft Behind the Viral Hook
I use a mix of Blender, Maya, and After Effects for my production pipeline. You send me your product assets or high-quality reference images, and I build the high-fidelity 3D model from scratch. There are no AI shortcuts here, just frame-by-frame rendering. If you are planning a launch in Mumbai or elsewhere, the best results come from high-quality source footage. We will discuss the camera angle, the environment, and the visual hook before I start the render.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What do you need from me? High-quality product images or CAD files are essential for accurate modeling. If you have video footage, it needs to be steady and high-resolution.
- Can I use my own footage? Yes, but I prefer to advise on the shot angle and lighting conditions first to ensure the CGI integrates perfectly.
- How long does it take? A typical viral FOOH project takes 1 to 2 weeks, depending on the complexity of the simulation and the environment interaction.
- Do you handle the location shoot? I have a professional crew I work with for backplate filming in Mumbai, which we can discuss as part of the project scope.
