Learn 3D Mehndi Portraits Online
Ready to take your henna art to the next level? See how I teach students to master the transition from sketching on paper to creating flawless 3D portraits on skin.
My course includes extensive practice on paper. Here are some of the bridal figure sketches I use to teach my students the fundamentals of proportion, features, and detailing.
Before creating a portrait on skin, I often practice it on paper. This video shows the freehand sketching process, a crucial step in mastering portrait mehndi.
Here you can see me applying the skills learned from sketching directly onto a bride's hands. This is the goal of my course: to take you from paper to professional.
About From Sketch to Skin: The Learning Process
Before you touch a henna cone, you need to master the sketch. In my courses, we don't jump straight to hands. We spend time on paper, perfecting facial proportions, shading, and hair textures until you get it right. It is better to make mistakes on paper than to ruin a bridal design, so we practice the anatomy first. Once your sketching is solid, the transition to skin feels natural and much easier.
This is not a watch and learn course. Whether you join the 35 day comprehensive batch or the 16 day portrait masterclass, the focus is on active learning.
My Teaching Process
We start with the basics of cone rolling and paste consistency. Once you have the tools ready, we move to design fundamentals like jaal work, vines, and Arabic flow. For portrait enthusiasts, we break down facial anatomy into simple steps. We look at eyes, nose, and lips, drafting them on paper until the expressions look real.
Why Live Feedback Matters
I do not just post pre-recorded videos. You join live sessions where I can actually see your work. I review your homework every single day and correct your hand movements. If your line is shaky or your shading is too dark, I tell you immediately. This is how we get those clean, professional results.
What You Need
You do not need expensive gear. Just some henna powder, cello sheets, and acrylic practice hands. The goal is to make you comfortable enough to handle any design request a bride throws at you. If you are serious about becoming a professional mehndi artist, this is where you start.
