Welcome to our Cornrows Level 1 workshop. We're taking baby steps to create an army of skilled braiders in India. This is where you get the hands-on practice and feedback needed to build a strong foundation in braiding.
About Join the Braid Army
This isn't about watching us work. You spend the full 8 hours on a textured hair mannequin, doing repetitive drills until your hands memorize the grip and tension for perfect sectioning. We make sure you walk out with the muscle memory for cornrows and feed-in techniques, plus a kit with your own tail comb, clips, and braiding jam to practice at home.
What to expect in the Braid Army
We are tired of boring classrooms and formal lectures. If you want to learn, you need to get your hands dirty. Our Cornrows Level 1 workshop is a 1-day deep dive into the technical side of braiding, designed to take you from 'no idea' to 'practiced hands.'
The Curriculum
- Geometric Sectioning: We teach you how to map out 'Diagonal Back' patterns and parting for clean, professional lines.
- Grip and Tension: Braiding is 90 percent hand positioning. You will practice drills to master the grip that creates neat, long-lasting scalp braids without painful tension.
- Feed-in Techniques: Learn how to add synthetic hair and yarn correctly for that seamless transition and volume.
- Scalp Care: We cover the right usage of holding jams and gels so you do not compromise hair health.
