Meet the Pro Riders Behind Our MTB Races
We don't just organize races—we race them. Get to know the national-level cyclists behind our Kumaon trails and discover why we believe in building a community, not just a leaderboard.
Meet Anisha Gurung, a national athlete and mountain biking guide from Nepal who we collaborate with. In this video, she shares her journey from starting MTB as a way to travel to competing in international races. We love working with like-minded people to grow the sport.
Hear directly from our co-founder, Rakesh Rana. As an ultra-endurance athlete with experience in races like the Tour of Dragon, he explains our approach to training for both long-distance and cross-country (XC) mountain biking. We're planning a workshop and race at his camp in Mukteshwar, so come join us.
About The Crew: Riders Behind the Race
It’s one thing to manage a race, it’s another to know exactly how a rider feels at mile 30. Our team—Rakesh, Raghav, and Kevi—aren't just organizers; they are active competitors who design our Kumaon trails based on real race-day demands, not just map logic. When you ride with us, you’re on tracks tested by the same people standing at the finish line.
We started WTH MTB Adventures because we felt the missing link in Indian MTB was the athlete's perspective. Most organizers focus on the logistics; we focus on the ride itself. Our crew brings together diverse, specialized experiences: Rakesh Rana, an ultra-endurance athlete, knows exactly how to pace a multi-day stage event. Raghav brings the marathon grit needed for those grueling climbs. Kevi Zhotso is the technical brain behind our downhill and trail sections, ensuring they are challenging but rideable, not just scary.
Being based in Mukteshwar, we have the luxury of testing our trails year-round. You’ll find us out there, clearing branches, fixing berms, and checking lines long before your race bibs are printed. Whether you are training for your first XC event or looking to shave minutes off your enduro time, you are learning from people who are still pushing their own limits in national competitions. We believe in 'asli mazaa'—the real fun that comes from shared struggle and achievement. We aren't here to just hand you a medal; we are here to help you get faster, safer, and more confident on two wheels.
