Mountain Biking Races and MTB Tours in Mukteshwar
From high-altitude Himalayan climbs to technical Kumaon singletracks, we bring the best of Indian mountain biking to your handlebars.
We believe the best rides come with the best views. Here's a glimpse of the incredible Himalayan scenery you'll experience on our upcoming MTB race in Mukteshwar, our home ground. We're designing a course that will test your limits and reward you with unforgettable vistas.
This is what it's all about. A group of happy riders at the end of our 4 Lakes Cycling Tour in Nainital. We build events where the camaraderie is just as important as the competition, creating a supportive and fun atmosphere for everyone.
Hear directly from our co-founder, Rakesh Rana. As an ultra-endurance athlete with experience in races like the Tour of Dragon, he explains our approach to training for both long-distance and cross-country (XC) mountain biking. We're planning a workshop and race at his camp in Mukteshwar, so come join us.
Action from one of our recent workshops in Uttarakhand. We took local cyclists through some of the technical singletrack trails near Mukteshwar. Our training focuses on practical skills you can use to confidently handle rocky descents and challenging terrain.
Here’s our rider Kevi showing his downhill skills at the Hornbill Festival Downhill Race. He navigates the technical stair section at Kisama Heritage Village with precision. Our events cater to different styles, including the adrenaline rush of DH racing.
This poster for our 4 Lakes Cycling Tour and MTB Workshop gives you an idea of how we structure our multi-day events. We combine challenging rides, like the 49km route from Mukteshwar to Nainital, with comfortable stays and full support, so all you have to focus on is the ride.
Getting muddy is part of the adventure. This shot captures the grit and determination it takes to compete in a mountain bike race. After a short break, we are excited to bring back our signature races in 2024 with new, challenging courses.
About Featured
When we map out a trail in Mukteshwar, we rely on our experience as competitive riders to set routes that test both your endurance and technical handling. We use manual limestone marking for XC loops that prioritize rider safety on high-speed rocky descents, ensuring you can focus on the line you're taking rather than getting lost in the Himalayan timber.
Our approach to MTB isn't about fluff; it's about the grit of the ride. Since 2014, our team—including Rakesh Rana and Kevilebo Zhotso—has been building a community in the Kumaon region. We don't just host races; we build them based on our own experience competing in events like the Tour of Dragon and MTB Himalaya.
What We Bring to the Trail
We break our events into two core styles. For those looking for a quick test of nerves and skill, we design single-day XC (Cross Country) loops ranging from 20km to 40km. These aren't manicured park rides; they are raw, natural trails where the terrain—loose shale, steep inclines, and technical switchbacks—does the work. We handle everything from physical trail marking using ribbons and powder to ensuring there is a sweep rider behind the last participant.
For riders ready for more, our pro-level multi-stage events push endurance to the limit. We manage the heavy lifting: GPX routing, government liaisons for forest clearances, and 4x4 support vehicles for extraction. We have a medical team on standby because we know exactly what a crash in the mountains looks like, and we plan for the worst while you aim for the podium.
Why Mukteshwar?
We chose this as our base for a reason. The elevation offers wild climbs that force you to dig deep, and the descents are fast enough to require total focus. Whether you are learning bike maintenance in our workshops or racing for the finish line, you are riding on trails we treat like home. We’re here to help you get faster, climb stronger, and finish the ride with a story worth telling.
