Featured Cinematic Wedding Moments
The moments that define my style—cinematic, raw, and completely unscripted. Here is a look at the real stories behind the glamour.
A moment of pure, otherworldly romance. This is what I strive for: creating a visual that feels like a dream but is rooted in the real connection between two people. This shot from Harsh and Sukhada's Maharashtrian wedding, with the soft smoke and falling petals, captures that perfect blend of grand cinematography and intimate emotion.
The bride's entrance is a moment suspended in time. I used a low-angle shot with theatrical smoke to create this ethereal, almost magical atmosphere, making her look like she's floating toward her future. It’s about making the grand moments feel deeply personal and unforgettable.
Love stories are beautiful in every language and tradition. This film from Sagarika and Abhishek's Tamilian and Bengali fusion wedding was a feast for the senses. My focus was on capturing the vibrant colors of the sarees, the richness of the gold jewelry, and the tender, unspoken moments between the couple.
Pre-wedding films are a chance to tell your story beyond the main day. For Jigar and Dhwany, we used drone wedding cinematography to get these epic, sweeping shots against a stunning natural landscape. The Urdu voiceover adds a layer of poetry, turning a simple walk into a cinematic love letter.
A wedding is also a party. I love capturing the unfiltered energy of the Sangeet night. The dynamic lighting, the silhouettes on the dance floor, and the genuine joy on everyone's faces are the moments that bring the celebration to life in the final film.
For me, the real story is in the emotions. This is one of my favorite shots, capturing the groom, Sushant, overcome with emotion as he sees his bride, Drashti. These are the unscripted, priceless moments that I hunt for. This is not a movie set; this is real life at its most beautiful.
A little peek behind the curtain. My process is hands on. I’m not just a cameraman; I’m a director ensuring every frame serves the story. I believe in authenticity, not cheesy drama, and I’m not afraid to call "cut" to get the perfect, real shot.
A bride is a poem in herself. This bridal portrait session was about capturing her beauty and grace with a touch of cinematic elegance. The Urdu shayari in the background is my way of adding a layer of artistry, making the visuals speak with even more emotion.
About Featured
People often think the best shots are planned, but they aren't. Whether it is the specific lighting during a baraat or the exact second a groom tears up, I am not waiting for a director to tell me where to stand. I am hunting for that one frame where you are not posing for the camera, you are just lost in your own day. If you want a film that looks polished but feels human, we are on the same page.
My approach is simple: I hunt for the story, not the pose. Whether it is a 3-day luxury saga at a resort or an intimate ceremony, the goal is the same—authenticity. You will see drone cinematography in my work, but only to establish the mood of the location, not to distract from the people. I focus on capturing the audio too, using lapel mics for your vows so the actual words you speak become the soundtrack of your memory, rather than just using a generic song.
I have filmed weddings across the spectrum—Maharashtrian, Tamilian, Bengali, Christian, and complex fusion events. Each ritual has a distinct rhythm, and I make sure to respect that tradition. My editing style is tight and rhythmic, tailored to the specific energy of your event. If we are shooting a high-energy Sangeet, you get dynamic cuts and vibrant lighting. If it is a quiet, emotional moment during the pheras, I let the frame breathe. I am not here to make a Karan Johar movie; I am here to document your day exactly as it happened.
Sagar Makwana
I am Sagar. I have filmed over 500 weddings, but I am not here to play director for a fake drama. I am here to capture the messy, loud, beautiful, real version of your big day.
