Standard Monthly Karate Program
Core Training Scope

- Curriculum: Covers Kihon (basics) and Heian/Pinan Katas required for White to Orange belt grading.
- Conditioning: Body weight exercises (pushups, sit ups) and flexibility drills.
Facility & Batch Details
- Batch Size: Group cohort of 15 to 25 students.
- Surface: Mixed use of indoor halls with 25mm interlocking foam mats and outdoor terrace areas.
- Supervision: Direct oversight by Sensei with assistance from senior belts (Sempais).
- Atmosphere: Strict traditional Dojo etiquette including bowing rituals.
Quarterly Competitive Athlete Program
Advanced Training Scope
- Enhanced Frequency: Access to 4 to 5 sessions per week, including special weekend sparring drills.
- Kumite Focus: Technical instruction on tournament scoring (Yuko, Waza ari, Ippon) and counter attacking strategies.
- Advanced Curriculum: Higher level forms (e.g., Bassai Dai, Kanku Dai) for Brown/Black belt grading.
Conditioning & Career
- Athlete Drills: Plyometrics using speed ladders, plastic cones, and hurdles for explosive power.
- Selection Prep: Priority coaching for upcoming district and state championship team selections.
- Guidance: Roadmap planning for Sports Quota opportunities and federation trials.
- Note: Personal protective gear and tournament fees are excluded.
1-on-1 Self-Defense Session
Customized Personal Training
- Format: 1 on 1 private attention from the Head Instructor, bypassing general group classes.
- Curriculum: Practical street self defense (wrist releases, choke defenses) and situational awareness.
- Fitness: Functional pad work (punching/kicking focus pads) and assisted stretching.
Logistics
- Scheduling: Flexible timing based on mutual availability.
- Attire: No uniform (Gi) required; training is conducted in standard sportswear.
- Pacing: Accelerated learning curve tailored for adults and working professionals.

Who Can Join Us
Classes are open for everyone. Kids, adults, beginners, experienced folks - all are welcome.
- For kids, our "KARATE Kids" program boosts memory, confidence, and sharpens their reactions.
- Women’s self-defense training is a big priority. We also run free camps for women because everyone should feel safe.
- Adults come for fitness, new skills, or even to chase that black belt.
What We Teach
We keep things real and practical:
- Kihon - the basics. You’ll repeat your stances, punches, kicks, and blocks till they’re just part of you.
- Kata - the forms. These sequences teach rhythm, flow, and a little history.
- Sparring (Kumite) is done in a safe, controlled way. You learn how to apply moves and build fighting reflexes.
- Real-life self-defense techniques, not just moves for the dojo.
- Drills for fitness and flexibility. Karate means being agile.
Your Progress & Opportunities
We have a formal martial arts belt ranking system from white to black belt. More than the belt, we push for a "Black Belt Attitude" - respect, perseverance, and grit. Karate is not just a sport for us at VK Martial Arts, it's our heartbeat. We started this club because we saw kids and players with spark but no guide. Karate Classes for Everyone - We teach karate and self-defense to kids, men, women – beginners to advanced. All are welcome.
Focus on Technique and Discipline - Training covers basics like stances, punches (Zuki), kicks (Geri), and discipline. Master yourself first.
