Mehnat hi sab kuch hai. At our academy, we break down every spike, set, and pass into repetitive, precise drills until they become muscle memory. No shortcuts, just grit and the right technique.

A player practices their spike approach and timing. I guide them to coordinate their steps with the set, ensuring they make contact with the ball at the peak of their jump for maximum power and accuracy.

An indoor training session focusing on the jump serve. This player is working on her toss consistency and arm swing to develop a serve that is both powerful and difficult for the opposing team to receive.

A player practices his spike in an indoor facility. The focus here is on the explosive jump and full arm extension to hit the ball over the net with force.

This is an attacking steps drill. Players practice the three or four-step approach to the net without a ball, focusing on building the correct rhythm and explosive movement needed for a powerful spike.

Players work on their attacking footwork, a fundamental part of a successful spike. This drill helps synchronize their approach to the net, ensuring they are in the optimal position to attack the ball.

A player practices his setting technique against a wall before moving on to a live spike drill. This shows how we break down complex skills into fundamental parts to ensure proper form.

To isolate and perfect the hand and wrist action for setting, players practice from a seated position. This drill removes footwork from the equation, forcing complete focus on the precision of the set.

A young player works on his setting form while seated. This drill is excellent for beginners and advanced players alike to build strength and consistency in their hand positioning and follow-through.

We master the 'dolphin dive' using a tire to perfect the form. This unconventional drill builds the muscle memory and fearlessness needed to make crucial defensive plays. It’s about getting comfortable with being uncomfortable.

Every practice starts with preparation. A player laces up, ready for a session focused on serving technique, a critical skill for starting every point on the offensive.

About Mastering the Skills: Drills & Technique

You won't just stand on a court here. We use tractor tires for dolphin dives and conduct setting drills from a seated position to isolate your hand placement. It looks unconventional, but it strips away the crutch of footwork so you can build the pure, reflexive hand speed needed when the match pressure is on.

Repetition is the only way to build an athlete. We don't believe in just playing games all day; we believe in isolating the mechanics.

Why Our Drills Are Different

Most players want to jump straight into a match. We spend time on the wall. Whether it’s underhand passing against a brick wall or rapid-fire setting, this builds the touch and rhythm required for elite play. When you practice against a wall, the ball doesn't lie—you see exactly where your angle is off.

Key Focus Areas

  • Attacking Mechanics: We break the approach into three and four-step rhythms. Players practice this without the ball first, focusing on the explosiveness of the jump and the full arm extension. Coordination between your feet and your swing is what separates a good spike from a great one.
  • Defense & Agility: The 'dolphin dive' using tires is our signature. It’s about getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. You learn to land safely and get up fast, ensuring you’re ready for the next ball immediately.
  • Technical Isolation: By using seated setting drills, we force you to focus entirely on your wrists and fingers. It removes the legs, which is how you develop the fine motor control required for precise setting in a live game.

Training happens in the dirt, sand, and indoor courts of Shivaji Sports Complex. We train in both heat and floodlights, preparing you for the reality of tournament conditions. If you are here to learn the shortcuts, you won't find them. If you are here to build a foundation that survives under pressure, we are ready to work.
