Our Players on National & International Podiums
We don't just teach badminton; we build champions. These podium finishes are the result of years of grind, discipline, and the refusal to quit.
It is a joy to see our students grow at the national level. Here are five of our players who qualified for the main draw at the All India Senior National Ranking Tournament in Lucknow, beating seeded players along the way.
We had six students qualify for the main draw at the All India Junior Ranking Tournament in Bangalore. Two of them made it to the Top 8, showing the depth of talent we are building here.
A proud moment for the academy. Our player Naren Shankar Iyer was part of the Karnataka team that won the Gold Medal at the 37th National Games.
This is our player Prateek Koundilya, a Sub-Junior SAF Games Gold medallist. He is reviewing the Yonex Arcsaber 7 Pro, showing the technical knowledge we build in our athletes.
A player's dream is a podium finish at a national event. Congratulations to Prateek for winning a Gold Medal with the AAI team at the All India Inter Institutional Tournament.
A golden day for us. After more than five years of tireless work, we have a Gold Medal in an official National Ranking tournament. This is a win for the whole team.
Our player Prateek Koundilya's journey to the Under-15 final was even featured in the newspaper. His moves on the court make everyone take notice.
About this collection
These medals aren't handed out; they are earned during those long, brutal sessions when every other academy has gone home. Our players, from juniors to seniors, train with feather shuttles and high-intensity drill blocks to reach the main draw of All India Ranking tournaments. When you see our players standing on these podiums, know that it started with hours of footwork and tactical sparring right here on our Bengaluru mats.
Success at the National and International level is not about talent alone. It’s about the consistency you bring to the court when nobody is watching. At Udbhav Academy, we break down the journey to the podium into three phases:
The Foundation (Sub-Juniors) Before you touch a national podium, you need to own the court. We focus heavily on grip, stance, and 6-corner movement patterns. You’ll be doing ladder drills and shadow work until the footwork is automatic. If you can't reach the shuttle, you can't win the point.
The Technical Grind (Juniors & Seniors) This is where we introduce the feather shuttle. We run pressure-feeding drills, deception training, and 20-all scenario play. It’s about building the endurance to stay strong in the third game, even when you're exhausted. You have to handle the smash, the drift, and the nerves.
The Tactical Edge When our players represent Karnataka or Maharashtra in national championships, they aren't just hitting hard. They are thinking. We analyze matches, dissect opponent patterns, and work on the mental toughness required to win tight rallies.
We don't do shortcuts here. If you want to join our competitive batches, come prepared for 3 to 4 hours of intense work—on and off the court. We are here to shape shuttle stars, and the process is demanding. But as I always tell my students on the court: 'Chalne do, chhodna nahi kuch bhi ho jaaye!'
