About The UCMAS Advantage: Whole Brain Development
Most parents arrive thinking this is just about faster math, but the core of our work is the six-finger abacus technique. By physically engaging the fingers to manipulate beads, children eventually learn to visualize the abacus in their minds, allowing them to solve complex calculations without any tools. This visualization skill is the catalyst for the broader cognitive benefits—like sharper memory and improved multitasking—that our students naturally carry into their other school subjects.
How Whole Brain Development Works
