Group Games & Teamwork Activities for Kids
We believe that active play is the best way to learn. Our group games help children build strength, develop social skills, and grow their confidence in a safe, supportive environment.
This video breaks down the physical, mental, and social benefits of parachute play. It’s a fantastic group activity that improves body awareness, focus, and teamwork.
Chasing bubbles is a highlight of any party. This simple game is excellent for developing hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness as kids reach, jump, and pop.
For our youngest members, aged 3 months to 3 years, parachute play is a multi-sensory experience. It helps build mental, physical, and social skills in a gentle and engaging way.
Watch our toddlers interact with the parachute. This activity helps them tune into their bodies and the joy of movement while learning about group cooperation in a comfortable setting.
It takes a village to nurture strength. Here, children, parents, and instructors work together in a parachute game, demonstrating the community and teamwork we foster in every class.
Up, down, and all around. Parachute play is a classic for a reason. It boosts teamwork and motor skills, and as you can see, it brings endless giggles and joy to kids and instructors alike.
Every day can be a colorful parachute day at our gym. It’s a happy place where children learn to cooperate and move together, creating waves of fun.
About this collection
Our group games are designed to keep every child engaged, regardless of their energy level. Whether we are playing with the parachute or running an obstacle relay, our instructors actively rotate activities to ensure children learn to listen, take turns, and cooperate with their peers instead of just competing against them.
At The Little Gym, we don't just run games to pass the time. Our curriculum is built on 'Three-Dimensional Learning,' a proprietary approach that mixes movement, brain-boosting activities, and social lessons. Drawing on developmental principles like Vygotsky's theory on social interaction, we view our gym floor as a 'social laboratory.'
When children engage in parachute play, they are doing much more than holding a colorful fabric. They are learning to anticipate movement, synchronize with others, and communicate without words. Similarly, simple games like catching bubbles help toddlers develop hand-eye coordination, timing, and spatial awareness.
Our instructors act as facilitators, guiding kids through these activities to ensure everyone feels included. By removing the pressure of high-stakes competition, we allow children to focus on teamwork, problem-solving, and building the resilience they need for daily life. From our parent-child programs for 4-month-olds to grade-school gymnastics for 12-year-olds, every game is a structured step toward becoming a more capable, confident individual.
The Little Gym
We are The Little Gym. We see every group session as an opportunity to help your child become more than just a little athlete. We focus on building the whole child, from their physical coordination to their ability to work well with others.
