We believe festivals are the perfect classroom. Through hands-on crafts, storytelling, and joyful performances, our little stars connect with India’s rich heritage while building confidence and community spirit.

Our Dussehra celebration was a grand affair, where we relived the story of the Ramayan. The children learned about the triumph of good over evil through a captivating Ramleela performance and themed craft activities.

To understand the story of Dussehra, our little stars created their own Ravana crowns. This craft activity helps them connect with the cultural narrative while developing their fine motor skills.

Our talented teachers brought the epic of Ramayan to life with a special performance for the children. This storytelling session was a key part of our Dussehra celebration, teaching timeless values.

Janmashtami at our school is a joyous occasion. The children were captivated by the story of little Krishna and participated in a fun Dahi Handi celebration, learning about love, kindness, and truth.

Dressed as little Kanhas, our children celebrated Janmashtami with devotion and joy. This festival is a beautiful opportunity to connect with our traditions and the timeless teachings of Lord Krishna.

We welcomed Lord Ganesha with fun-filled activities and devotion. Our little stars learned about the significance of Ganesh Chaturthi and participated in traditional rituals in a child-friendly way.

Seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha on Ganesh Chaturthi. Our school was decorated to welcome Bappa, and the children learned about the festival's traditions through stories and prayers.

About this collection

We don't just tell stories about festivals; we make them. Whether it’s creating Ravana crowns to understand the narrative of Dussehra or using leaves to stamp the tricolor for Independence Day, every activity is designed to strengthen pincer grips and fine motor skills while teaching the significance of our traditions.

At The Centennial School, we believe that culture is best absorbed through doing, not just observing. Our approach to festivals like Janmashtami, Diwali, and Holi goes beyond simple festive decor. We break down complex stories into bite-sized, interactive moments that resonate with young children.

Why Culture Matters in Early Years

It is about fostering identity and curiosity. By involving the kids in preparations—like making laddoos or painting diyas—we turn passive participation into active learning. This process helps children develop social intelligence, empathy, and an early appreciation for the diversity around them.

Development Through Celebration

Our festival curriculum maps directly to our Montessori roots. Crafting a flag enhances fine motor skills and spatial awareness. Performing a small play for Ramleela builds stage confidence and public speaking ability from a very young age. These are real-world skills taught through the lens of Indian traditions.

Building Our Community

Parents and grandparents are a core part of our celebrations. When we hold an event, we open our doors to the whole family, transforming a school day into a community milestone. Located in Pitampura, we take pride in being a space where families feel at home and connected. Whether it is our graduation ceremonies with robes or our festival performances, every moment is an opportunity for our students to shine.

I founded The Centennial School because I wanted a space where kids feel as free and happy as they do at home. Here, we do not just teach the curriculum; we build a community where every child's spark is nurtured with care, whether we are learning phonics or celebrating a festival together.
