Conceptual & Thematic Styling for Shoots
I help build visual stories where fashion meets a mood. Whether you need styling for a creative photoshoot or a thematic brand campaign, I design every detail to ensure the vibe is exactly right.
A conceptual look inspired by Radha for Janmashtami. The styling involves traditional elements like a pink bandhani dupatta, a maang tikka, and a nath, but with an artistic twist: the hands are painted with red alta, and the forehead has intricate bindi art.
The direct gaze in this Radha-inspired look is powerful. The focus is on the traditional jewelry and the symbolic use of color and adornment to tell a story of devotion and beauty.
A close-up on the details of the Janmashtami look. The delicate nath, the hand-painted alta, and the kundan ring all come together to create a rich, layered, and thematic visual.
Vintage vibes. Posing with a classic red car in a beautiful all-white embroidered sharara set. This kind of thematic shoot is about creating a mood and transporting the viewer to another era.
A collaboration with Google Chromebook. As a stylist and creator, I styled this video to show how design and functionality go hand-in-hand, mirroring the way I build visual stories with the sleek aesthetic of the product.
Spending a Sunday with my Oceedee Jade Bag. This shot is part of a series to showcase the bag as a versatile and stylish companion for a day out.
Attending a South Indian food pop-up at Taj Palace. I chose to wear a classic black and gold printed saree to honor the theme of the event, creating a cohesive story.
For the launch of Qavalli, a restaurant celebrating Mughlai heritage, I wore a classic beige anarkali with a beautiful embroidered dupatta. The outfit was chosen to complement the regal and traditional ambiance of the space.
An evening at 'Made In India'. I styled a classic saree with a modern twist by draping it over a collared shirt, reflecting the restaurant's theme of blending traditional flavors with new techniques.
At an exclusive preview of Montblanc's eyewear collection. Trying on different styles is part of the process of finding the perfect accessory to fit a specific look or persona.
About Conceptual & Thematic Styling
Styling for a shoot is not just about putting clothes on a rack, it is about translating a specific mood into a visual reality. When I plan these sessions, I pay attention to the lighting, the backdrop, and even how the fabric moves, so the final image actually tells the story you are trying to share.
When I concept a look, I start with a feeling rather than a trend. For the Radha-inspired shoot, it was not just about the bandhani dupatta or the jewelry. It was about the alta on the hands and the specific gaze that brought the theme to life. That is what conceptual styling is, creating a cohesive atmosphere where every element, from the accessories to the background, supports the narrative.
Whether we are doing a creative portfolio shoot or a campaign for your brand, I handle the styling end-to-end. I believe in mixing elements that you would not typically see together to create something fresh. If we are shooting at a vintage venue, we might pair a traditional sharara with antique accessories to transport the viewer to another era. If it is a commercial shoot, I ensure the wardrobe aligns with the brand’s visual identity without losing the human element.
I do not believe in one size fits all styling. Every project starts with a conversation about what you want the viewer to feel. Do you want them to feel nostalgic, empowered, or perhaps curious? Once we lock that in, I source the pieces, guide the hair and makeup team, and even help with posing direction so you look confident and natural in every frame. Let us create something that feels authentic to your vision.
