About Seaside & Monsoon Romance
Shooting by the sea in Mumbai is all about the timing. I plan our sessions around the early morning tide to beat the crowds and catch that soft, diffused light that makes every couple look effortless. Keep in mind that while public beaches are open, some specific locations might need shooting permits, which are handled separately from my photography fees.
The monsoon brings a different kind of magic to Mumbai. When the sky turns grey and the sea gets moody, that is when I find the best 'Tum main aur Barish' (you, me, and the rain) moments. I have spent the last 7 years photographing over 300 weddings, and I have learned that the best photos rarely come from posing. They come from letting you walk along the shore, feel the breeze, and just be yourself.
My approach to these seaside sessions is to keep the gear simple and the focus on your connection. I use full-frame mirrorless cameras with prime lenses to get that creamy, soft background blur, ensuring that the focus remains entirely on your smiles and touches. Whether you are running into the waves, holding hands as the tide comes in, or sharing a quiet moment on a secluded bench, my goal is to document the story of 'two hearts, one soul' without making it feel like a production.
Since Mumbai beaches can get busy, I always suggest we start early or look for quieter pockets away from the main tourist spots.
