Behind the Decks: Live Energy
This is where the music meets the crowd. See the high-voltage energy from my live sets, where every drop hits hard and the dance floor never stops.
This is the result of my work. A packed crowd at Shimmers in Raipur going absolutely wild on the drop of my 'Faltu x Booyah' edit. This is the energy I promise.
Commanding the stage in front of a massive crowd. Seeing everyone's phone lights up when the beat drops is why I do what I do.
Dropping my 'Paaro x Afro' mix and watching the crowd's reaction. This is live proof of how my unique Bolly-Afro sound connects with people on the dance floor.
Sharing the console with DJ Freak. The energy is always electric when we play together, and this clip captures the raw power of our collaborative set.
The live reaction to my 'Paiso Aa' Sindhi mashup. It's amazing to see the energy when I drop a track dedicated to a specific community.
The vibe in the club when my 'Sufi meets Afro' track drops. You can feel the energy shift as the crowd gets lost in this unique spiritual and rhythmic blend.
The crowd singing along to my 'Chaska' Afro flip. This is what happens when you take a familiar hook and give it an irresistible new beat.
Dropping my Bhojpuri-Afro banger. The energy in the club was insane. This shows that a good beat transcends language.
The club is on fire as I tease my 'Billo Rani' flip. The pyrotechnics match the energy of the track, creating an unforgettable live moment.
A view from my console at Shimmers. This is my office, where I control the energy of the room with every track I play.
About Behind the Decks: Live Energy
My live setups go beyond just the console. I time my sets with CO2 cannons, stage smoke, and lighting cues to match the intensity of the bass drops. When you see the room reaction hit exactly with the music, that is the flow I build into every performance.
When I am behind the decks, my goal is to manage the energy curve from warm-up to peak time. It is not about playing one track after another. It is about reading the room. If the crowd is feeling the Bolly-Afro rhythm, I lean into the percussive elements and tribal beats. If they need a faster pace, I switch to my tech house edits.
My process involves precision beat-matching and gain staging to ensure the volume never dips, even during rapid tempo changes. I also keep my own unreleased mashups ready for the moment the dance floor needs a spike in adrenaline. Whether I am playing at a massive club in Raipur or a private setup in Mumbai, I use the same approach: keep the energy rising and keep the crowd guessing. I don't use pre-recorded sets; every mix is live, reactive, and built to keep the momentum going from the first track to the last.
DJ Skelltron
I am Kamal, but behind the decks, I go by Skelltron. I live for the drop, the stage lights, and that exact second when the whole room loses it.
