The Light House: A Multi-Generational Home

This is a detailed exploration of 'The Light House', a residence we designed for a multi-generational family in Nagpur. The project is a physical manifestation of our core principles, reinterpreting traditional 'haveli' and 'wada' architecture with a central light-filled atrium, climate-responsive 'jaali' screens, and spaces that foster family connection.

Urban Living Reimagined

We believe that even in the dense fabric of a city, architecture can create sanctuaries of light, air, and community. This collection showcases our apartment buildings and community housing projects, where we apply our principles of climate-responsive design and thoughtful spatial planning to enhance the quality of urban life.

Weekend Retreats & Homes in Nature

For us, a weekend home is an opportunity to dissolve the boundaries between architecture and the landscape. This collection features our countryside villas and retreats, from the organic forms of 'The Leaf House' to timber-framed structures in Alibaug, all designed to celebrate and connect with the great outdoors.

Our Process: From Concept to Craft

We believe that great architecture is born from a rigorous and collaborative process. This collection offers a behind-the-scenes look at how we work, from initial concept diagrams and detailed models to on-site material selection and close collaboration with the artisans who bring our visions to life.

Our Voice: Philosophy & Recognition

SJK Architects is more than a design firm; it is a collective of thinkers, storytellers, and empowered women dedicated to creating meaningful architecture. This section shares our philosophy, our team, and the recognition our work has received from the design community, offering insight into the ethos that drives us.

Inspirations & Explorations

Our work is a continuous journey of observation, learning, and exploration. This collection is a visual scrapbook of things that inspire us: the timeless beauty of vernacular details, the character of different cities, the play of light on materials, and the endless possibilities of form and structure.
