About A Glimpse Into My World
Most people see the final performance, but my real work happens in the quiet, late-night hours in the studio or the sweaty, collaborative chaos of a workshop. Whether I am teaching in a premium Andheri studio or leading a retreat in Ladakh, these moments are where we actually connect and grow. It is not always graceful, but it is always real.
I call my work 'Rangwang,' which literally means freedom. This is not about achieving perfection or doing everything by the book. It is about the full, messy, beautiful experience of movement. My classes are less like a rigid school and more like a family get-together, whether we are in a studio in Khar or base-training in London.
Why I Teach
I believe dance is a language. When I am leading a pop-up choreography workshop or a weekend intensive, I am not just showing you where to put your feet. We focus on storytelling, lyrical expression (abhinaya), and finding your own flow. Sometimes we are working on Kathak chakkars (spins), and other times we are breaking down a Bollywood hook step. The goal is the same: to find a safe space where you can let go.
The Reality of Training
If you join one of my sessions, expect to work. We spend time on technique—the foundational footwork and the stamina building—but we also prioritize the release. My retreats, for instance, are designed to pull you out of the city chaos and into a place where rhythm and nature meet. It is as much about the morning yoga and local food as it is about the final performance. If you are looking for a place to be seen, supported, and challenged without judgment, you are in the right spot.
