My Design Diary: Custom Outfit Ideas and Styling
Designing my own clothes is how I really show up as me. Here is my little diary of pieces I have created, from flowy kaftans to festive anarkalis.

A mirror selfie of a kaftan I designed. I love working with comfortable silhouettes and rich fabrics for my festive wear.

About My Design Diary
Designing that kaftan was a total game-changer for my festive wardrobe. It is all about finding a balance between looking put-together and actually feeling comfortable enough to sit on the floor and eat all the mithai without a worry.
When I design a piece, I look for two things: longevity and comfort. I am not big on fast fashion trends that you wear once and toss. Whether it is turning a heavy brocade top into something I can pair with jeans or re-imagining a classic saree silhouette, the goal is always to create something that feels like a warm hug.
I often get asked how I pick fabrics. I head to the local markets, touch everything, and see what feels right. If it is stiff or scratchy, it is a no from me. Creating your own look lets you control the narrative, where you get the exact fit, the perfect sleeve length, and the style that suits your body, not just what is trending on the feed.
If you have a vintage saree lying at home or a fabric you love but do not know how to stitch, let us chat. Sometimes, the most beautiful pieces are the ones we build from scratch. Whether you are looking for custom festive wear or need help with repurposed saree designs in Delhi, I am here to help you find your unique style voice.
