DIY Microgreens Starter Kit
Kit Components
- Planters: 3 units of biodegradable coir molded troughs (approx. 8x4 inch).
- Water Control: 1 Plastic bottom tray for drainage and 1 handheld misting sprayer (500ml).
- Substrate: Sterile coco peat mix sufficient for one harvest cycle.
Planting Material
- Seeds: 3 distinct packets (Beetroot, Broccoli, Radish, or Mustard) selected for high germination.
Documentation
- Guide: Printed instructional manual covering soaking to harvesting timeline.
Wall Mounted Herb Station
Structure & Install
- Frame: 1 unit varnished Pine or pallet wood rack (Approx. 4ft H x 2ft W).
- Mounting: Wall drilling and hardware setup on balcony or utility walls.
- Containers: 8 to 10 high grade plastic pots (White or Terracotta) fitted to the frame.
Vegetation
- Herbs: 8 to 10 mature saplings including Basil, Mint, Rosemary, Thyme, or Sage.
- Media: Lightweight, well draining soil mix formulated for preventing root rot in herbs.
Accessories
- Identification: Custom vinyl stickers or markers for each pot.
Balcony Vegetable Garden Setup
Infrastructure
- Planters: Mix of rectangular troughs (approx. 2.5ft) and round pots (10 to 12 inch). UV stabilized HDPE or FRP material.
- Drainage: Geotextile fabric lining with gravel layer.
- Support: Bamboo stakes or trellis netting for climbers.
Soil & Plants
- Mix: Bio Rich potting blend (Red soil, Coco peat, Vermicompost, Neem cake).
- Stock: 12 to 15 plants comprising fruiting veggies (Tomato, Chilli, Brinjal) and leafy greens (Spinach, Coriander).
- Nutrition: Starter pack of organic fertilizers.
Execution
- Labor: Material transport, hauling, and potting service by gardening team.
- Handover: Onsite training on watering and harvesting techniques.
Terrace Production Farm
Growing System
- Containers: 30 to 40 heavy duty HDPE Grow Bags (200+ GSM). Mixed sizes (12x12 inch and 15x15 inch).
- Substrate: Lightweight terrace mix (60:40 Coco peat to Soil ratio) to minimize slab load. Total weight approx. 800kg to 1000kg.
- Structure: Bamboo pole and GI wire trellis or Mandapa canopy for heavy creepers.
Crop Plan
- Planting: 30+ saplings and seed beds including heavy feeders (Gourd, Pumpkin) and companion plants.
- Pest Control: Installation of yellow sticky traps.
Irrigation
- Plumbing: Installation of 16mm main lateral pipes and micro tubes to each bag (manual tap control).
