About this collection
When we run a look test, we shoot tethered directly to a 27-inch screen. This means the director, stylist, and makeup artist see the framing and lighting live on the monitor. It removes the guesswork and speeds up your approval process, ensuring you get exactly what your production team needs on the day.
Precision for Production
My workflow is built for the high-pressure environment of film and TV look tests. By connecting the camera directly to a large monitor, I allow for real-time adjustments to lighting, makeup, and styling. This method was essential during my look test photography for the Netflix series 'Kaala Paani,' where the production team required specific lighting setups for future VFX keying.
Full Technical Setup
I bring a complete portable studio rig to your location or studio of choice. This includes:
- High-Res Capture: Sony A7RIII or Canon R6 bodies for detail-heavy files.
- Lighting: A 3-point Godox strobe setup with softboxes to mimic professional cinematic or commercial lighting conditions.
- Versatility: I carry portable white, grey, and chroma green backdrops, making it easy to create a studio environment in any vanity van, office, or rented space.
