About this collection
We do not believe in following trends blindly. Real interior design is about solving your specific problems, whether it is a cramped kitchen layout or a living room that just does not feel right. Before you start buying furniture, look at how you actually use your space. Does that sofa offer support after a long day? Does the lighting help you relax? Our work focuses on these practical realities, ensuring your home is built for your lifestyle, not just for show.
How We Approach Design
At Ritzy Route, our process starts with your daily routine. We believe that if a space does not work for your life, it does not matter how good it looks.
The 3-Color Rule Many people struggle with color balance. A simple trick is to follow the 60-30-10 rule: 60% of the room should be a dominant color (walls and large furniture), 30% a secondary color (rugs and curtains), and 10% an accent color for decor. This keeps the room cohesive without feeling chaotic.
Lighting and Color Psychology Lighting creates the mood. Yellow, warm lights make a space feel soothing and inviting, which is why we prefer them for living areas. Bright white lights can often make a home feel like an office. When selecting colors, think about what you want to feel in that room. Terracotta or pastel shades often help create a sense of calm.
Making Spaces Feel Grand If your room feels small, do not clutter it. Use vertical lines to draw the eye upward—tall curtains that start from the ceiling and furniture with high legs can make ceilings appear much higher. We also use mirrors strategically to reflect light and create an illusion of depth.
Functionality First We see furniture as more than just objects. Your storage should be hidden but accessible, and your entryway should be planned for your actual arrival (think shoe racks and coat hangers). We design for how you move while cooking in the kitchen or relaxing in the bedroom. Our goal is to create a home you cannot wait to return to, because everything else is just square footage.
Ritzy Route
At Ritzy Route, we think a home is where you kick back with chai and laugh at midnight. We are here to help you stop worrying about square footage and start focusing on how your space makes you feel every day.
