Corrective Hair Transplant and Line Redesign
Failed or unnatural results are not the end of your journey. If you are dealing with a pluggy hairline, poor density, or an exhausted donor area, I specialize in correcting these cases to give you the natural look you originally expected.
This patient's previous transplant left him with a very straight, artificial-looking hairline. You can see in the 'before' footage how the hair stood unnaturally. I performed a corrective surgery to redesign the hairline, and now, seven months later, the result is soft, natural, and he is much happier.
About Corrective Surgery: Fixing Previous Transplants
The most common issue I treat is the 'straight line' hairline, which looks unnatural because it lacks the softness and irregularity of a natural hairline. I do not just add more density to mask the problem. We often start by removing or softening those artificial, pluggy grafts using laser techniques or FUE, then redesigning the hairline with a staggered, zigzag pattern that mimics the way hair actually grows on the scalp.
Dealing with a Kharab Case
Many patients come to me feeling discouraged after a previous surgery failed to deliver results. Whether your hairline looks like a straight line drawn with a scale or your scalp still peeks through despite having had a procedure, these are technical problems that have solutions. My goal in corrective surgery is simple: to undo the damage and rebuild your confidence.
The Correction Process
Corrective work requires more precision than a first-time transplant.
- Laser Removal & FUE: If your previous surgeon used large, unnatural grafts, I often use laser hair removal sessions or FUE to extract these plugs. This clears the way for us to implant fine, single follicles.
- Trichophytic Closure: For those who had strip surgery (FUT) in the past, I use Trichophytic closure techniques. This specialized stitching allows your hair to grow right through the scar, significantly reducing its visibility.
- Donor Area Preservation: If your donor area was over-harvested previously, we explore Body Hair Transplant (BHT) options. We can harvest sturdy follicles from your beard or chest and blend them with scalp hair to restore density.
Why the Approach Matters
I do not believe in templates. Every scalp has a different skin texture and elasticity. When you come to me, I personally evaluate the existing grafts, the health of your donor zone, and your facial structure. We then map out a plan that focuses on natural density and soft hairlines. This is a process, not a quick fix. You will work with me directly, from the initial consultation to the final check-up, ensuring that we monitor the growth and the healing of your donor area every step of the way.
