About Advocate on Record, Supreme Court of India
The Supreme Court has strict procedural requirements that can cause delays if not handled correctly. As an Advocate on Record, I personally oversee your Special Leave Petition from the initial drafting stage through to the Registry’s scrutiny, ensuring we minimize technical defects and get your matter listed for hearing as efficiently as possible.
When you need to approach the Supreme Court, having an Advocate on Record (AOR) is not just a preference; it is a procedural requirement. Only an AOR is authorized by the Supreme Court Rules to sign and file petitions. My role here is to act as the primary interface between you and the Court.
Why the AOR Role Matters
Most Supreme Court litigation starts with a Special Leave Petition (SLP). The Registry checks these filings for strict formatting compliance. A single technical error can lead to a delay in listing, or worse, dismissal on procedural grounds. By handling the filing personally, I ensure that the synopsis, list of dates, and affidavits are prepared according to the latest SC rules.
My Approach to Your Case
I operate out of the EUNOMIA Law Associates office in Jungpura Extension, Delhi. When you engage my services, you are not handing a file off to a clerk. You are working with me directly.
- Direct Representation: I appear for admission hearings and argue the matter myself.
- Case Merit Assessment: Before we file, we sit down to review the lower court judgments. If a matter is not ripe for the Supreme Court, I will tell you candidly so you don't waste time or resources.
- High Court Linkage: My practice spans both the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court. If your matter requires a writ petition in the High Court before moving to the SC, I can manage that transition seamlessly.
Legal strategy is about planning for the long term. Whether it is a civil appeal or a criminal matter, we focus on the core question of law that warrants the Supreme Court's intervention.
