Bonsai is the art of patience. Whether you are looking for a young starter plant or an aged, sculptural tree, I help you bring these living, breathing pieces into your space.

This fully developed Raintree bonsai is a work of art. Its lush canopy and gracefully curved trunk are the result of many years of patient care and shaping.

An old-timer Adenium, also known as a Desert Rose, showing off its thick, sculptural trunk and vibrant pink blossoms. This 2.5-foot plant has incredible character.

A high-end Ficus bonsai styled to look like a miniature forest. Multiple trunks rise from a single base, creating a dense and impressive canopy in a traditional bonsai tray.

A Wrightia bonsai in full bloom, covered in delicate white, bell-shaped flowers. It's a beautiful sight when these trees put on a show like this.

This Adenium bonsai has a wonderfully thick and gnarled caudex, which is the swollen base of the trunk. It’s a classic feature of the Desert Rose plant.

The journey begins for this small Jade plant. I've potted it in a ceramic bonsai pot to start its training into a beautiful, miniature tree.

This uniquely shaped Adenium is a great example of bonsai material. Its reclining form offers a fantastic starting point for creating a dynamic and interesting bonsai tree.

About this collection

Bonsai might seem intimidating, but it is just a plant that thrives on a steady rhythm and consistent care. I spend years shaping these trees in my nursery to ensure they arrive ready to anchor your space, whether it is a sunny balcony or a quiet study corner. You do not need a green thumb to start, but you do need to be willing to learn the unique needs of your specific tree, as a Ficus requires very different watering habits than an Adenium.

Understanding Your Bonsai

When you bring home a bonsai, you are not just buying a plant. You are adopting a piece of living art that will change with the seasons. My work focuses on developing the structure of the tree over several years—pruning the roots, shaping the branches, and ensuring the trunk develops character.

Which Tree Fits Your Space?

  • Adeniums (Desert Rose): These are my favorites for sunny spots. They handle the heat well and reward you with stunning, trumpet-shaped flowers. The thick, gnarled base is where they store water, making them quite hardy if you avoid over-watering.
  • Ficus Bonsai: Known for their resilience, these are fantastic for beginners. They can adapt to different light conditions and tolerate pruning very well, which makes them perfect for practicing your styling skills.
  • Jade & Starter Bonsai: If you want to be part of the journey, I recommend starting with a younger Jade or a starter bonsai. You get the fun of wiring and shaping as the tree grows.

The Golden Rules of Care

Most people think bonsai is hard because they over-complicate it. The secret is simplicity.

  1. Know your light: A tree that loves the shade will wilt in the harsh Mumbai afternoon sun.
  2. The watering check: Stick your finger into the soil. If it is still damp an inch down, wait another day.
  3. Patience with pruning: Do not feel the need to trim your tree every week. Let it grow, let it push out new leaves, and then carefully remove only what breaks the silhouette.

I grow and nurture all my trees at my nursery in Sewri. If you have a specific vision—like a forest-style Ficus or a flowering Desert Rose—just reach out, and I can walk you through the options currently ready for a new home.
