Featured Photography Moments by Suraj
I believe that the best pictures are the ones that tell a story without words. From the quiet streets of Hampi to the misty trails of Nandi Hills, these are some of my favorite captures that define my journey as a photographer.
This is one of my favorite shots. I captured this baby monkey holding onto its mother at Bannerghatta National Park. For me, this image is all about that feeling of safety and innocence, a quiet moment that tells a big story.
I took this photo during a trip to Hampi. The golden morning light, the farmer watching over his animals, and the vast green field all came together. It's a simple, honest picture of village life.
I love the feeling of a journey about to begin. I used a special editing style here to make the blue sky and white clouds pop against the monochrome railway tracks, leading your eye toward the horizon.
Getting a close-up wildlife portrait like this takes a lot of patience. I wanted to capture the sharp, intense gaze of this eagle, showing every detail in its feathers and focused expression.
While walking through the streets of Hampi, I saw this schoolboy glance back at me. It was a fleeting moment, but his expression and the colorful market behind him tell a story about childhood and curiosity.
The ruins of Kavaledurga Fort feel ancient and mysterious, especially when covered in fog and moss. I framed this shot to show the repeating stone pillars disappearing into the mist, creating a moody and timeless scene.
This is a long exposure shot of Nandi Hills after sunset. I wanted to capture the winding road lit by car lights, contrasting with the dark hill and the colorful twilight sky. It shows how a landscape completely changes at night.
There's nothing like a sunset over green paddy fields. The soft, warm colors in the sky and the peacefulness of the landscape make this a classic travel shot for me. It’s a simple moment of natural beauty.
About Featured
I don't look for the perfect, staged shot. Instead, I focus on the mood of a place, whether it is the golden light hitting a paddy field or a fleeting expression on a city street. I use my Nikon D750 to capture these scenes exactly how they feel in the moment, focusing on natural color and honest expressions.
My Approach to Photography
Photography to me is not about the gear or the complex technical setups. It is about the story. When I am out in nature or walking through the streets of Hampi, I am looking for life. Whether it is a wild eagle staring into the lens or a child glancing back in a busy market, I want to catch the moments that feel real.
Technical Workflow
I shoot primarily with my Nikon D750. Once I have the RAW files, I take them into Lightroom and Photoshop. My editing process is about enhancing the reality, not creating a fake one. I work with atmospheric grading, making sure the greens feel deep and the skies have that vibrant touch, but I always ensure the final result maintains the integrity of the original scene.
Why Choose Me
If you want photos that feel honest and full of heart, we will get along well. I do not do studio setups. I thrive in natural light, outdoor settings, and places that have character, such as Kavaledurga Fort or the pathways of Cubbon Park. My work includes:
- Landscape Photography: Capturing wide vistas and the drama of golden hour.
- Candid Portraits: Finding people and their stories in everyday environments.
- Fine Art Nature: Exploring textures, wildlife, and the mood of the outdoors.
If you are looking for someone to capture your next outdoor session, a pet shoot, or professional images of a property, I am happy to guide you through the process.
