This is a complete Mehendi decoration I did for a client at their home. It features a bright yellow backdrop with green drapes, fairy lights, and a variety of embroidered Rajasthani umbrellas for a rich, traditional feel.

For this Haldi ceremony, I used a combination of red and yellow drapes to create a vibrant background. I added traditional hangings, marigold garlands, and colorful umbrellas to complete the festive and auspicious look.

About Traditional Mehendi & Haldi Decor

My setup relies on a sturdy pipe-and-drape structure that needs a wall or solid ground behind it to stand tall. For your Haldi or Mehendi, I use 8ft fabric backdrops paired with artificial marigold strings, so we do not have to worry about flowers wilting in the heat. It is a practical choice if you want the traditional look without the hassle of fresh flower maintenance.

Here is a beautiful mehendi setup I did, with the bride seated for her ceremony. The backdrop is a lattice of orange marigolds against yellow drapes, framed by columns of fresh pink flowers and green leaves.15
