About The Whole Crew: Candid Family Portraits
Family shoots can be unpredictable, especially with little ones. If your child gets thodi si tired ho gayi (a bit tired) or just needs a break, we pause. I don't believe in forcing smiles or sticking to a strict clock. We take our time until everyone is comfortable, because that is when the genuine, unposed moments happen.
Photography for me isn't about perfectly stiff poses. It is about the chaotic, loud, and loving reality of a family. Whether it is the quiet look between grandparents and their grandchild, or the way your kids laugh when you play together, these are the moments that matter most.
How we shoot
I offer complete flexibility in where we capture these memories. My studio in Vashi is set up to handle controlled lighting and themes, which works great for newborns or smaller family portraits. However, I often find that home is where kids are most relaxed. I can bring my backdrop, props, and lighting to your house, so we get those authentic interactions in your natural environment.
If you prefer the outdoors, I am familiar with the parks and quiet green spots across Navi Mumbai and Thane. Outdoor sessions offer softer natural light and more room for the kids to run around, which usually results in happier, more spontaneous photos.
Involving the whole family
I love including grandparents in these sessions. Their presence adds a layer of depth to the portraits that you will value years from now. My process is always child-led. We do not rush. We incorporate breaks for snacks, naps, or just a little downtime. If your family has a pet, please bring them along. Including pets adds a layer of warmth and personality to the images that is hard to replicate.
Preparation tips
- Wardrobe: Keep it comfortable. Choose outfits that allow you to sit on the floor, hug your kids, and move freely.
- Timing: We will plan the session around your child’s sleep schedule to ensure they are at their happiest.
- Props: If there is a special blanket or a favorite toy your child is attached to, bring it. It helps them feel secure and makes for great, honest details in the final portraits.
