Discover design stories that find peace in the details. These prayer nooks and meditative corners are crafted to be the quietest, most soulful part of your home.

Placed in a prime corner of the home, this mandir is a serene sanctuary bathed in light. It features a stunning, traditional white jali mandala as its centerpiece, radiating quiet strength and spirituality.

A closer view of the mandir, showing the intricate jali work and the framed images of deities. The space feels both elegant and deeply personal, a true heart of the home.

The entrance to the mandir is marked by a simple glass door, allowing it to feel connected to the home while still being a distinct, sacred space. A beautiful glass chandelier adds a touch of opulence.

This mandir is seamlessly integrated into a bedroom, framed by an ornate wooden arch with jali work. The design creates a soulful dimension, bathed in natural light from the adjacent balcony door.

In this guest bedroom, I carved out an arched niche to house the mandir. The inside is adorned with beautiful, hand-painted wallpaper of lotuses and pichwai cows, creating a quiet spiritual pause.

This beautiful home bar is tucked into a cozy nook off the living room. A floor-to-ceiling display unit and a floating shelf by the window provide ample storage with finesse and style.

About Sacred Spaces & Quiet Corners

Integration is the true challenge of a sacred corner. I never treat these areas as add-ons. Instead, I design them to emerge naturally from your home's layout, using arches, soft hidden lighting, or carved wood to create a distinct, peaceful boundary within a bedroom or living space, ensuring the atmosphere remains serene without feeling disconnected from the rest of your home.

Whether you require a dedicated room or a small alcove, the approach remains the same: it must be a space of profound calm. I look at every project and identify the point of maximum tranquility. For some, this means a floor-to-ceiling carved wood panel behind a marble altar. For others, it is about soft wall finishes and thoughtful placement of idols to catch the morning light.

When designing prayer nooks, I focus on the interplay of light and texture. We often use traditional patterns reinterpreted for a modern context, such as minimalist jali screens or subtle gold leaf detailing that glows gently under ambient illumination. The material choice—be it cool Italian marble, warm walnut wood, or textured stone—is guided by the existing language of your home.

Our work involves managing the entire flow, from selecting the right position to installing electrical points for hidden lighting. We handle everything from the initial sketch to the final styling, ensuring that your sanctuary feels deeply personal and quiet.
