About Parent-Child Workshops
Why I Do What I Do
At Moxie & Hopper, I just love seeing parents and kids go a little wild together. My workshops aren’t about sitting quietly or doing worksheets. They’re made for families who want to jump in, get their hands messy, and actually make memories - not just hear about them.
What Happens in a Workshop
Each session is different, honestly. Sometimes we’re acting out stories (with props, music, even Kamishibai - that Japanese paper box thing), sometimes we’re making stuff you get to take home. There’s always music, a bit of dancing, sometimes a lot of noise and laughter. It’s never boring.
- Interactive storytelling for families
- Hands-on art or ‘make & take’ activities
- Dance, music, and sometimes a surprise theme
Who Shows Up & What We Explore
I run these for age groups 3-5 and 6-9, always with a parent (especially for the little ones). We’ve done everything from Hungarian folktales to Diwali crafts. Sometimes it's Christmas, sometimes space adventures - I like to switch it up. The only rule is both you and your child get stuck in.
Quick Details
- Parent-child creative workshops, always together
- Usually on weekends or holidays
- One hour, but it flies by - ask anyone who’s come before
- Not for folks who want to just sit and watch - you’ll both be in the thick of it
If you’re after something that’s equal parts wild, warm, and a little unpredictable, this is for you.

Moxie & Hopper
My Story
Kiithe! Kiithe! We’re Moxie & Hopper, always chasing stories and the magic they bring. Kids remind us how cool it is to just be silly and live in the now. Some days, we’re spinning Hungarian folktales, other days, it’s wild African rituals, or our own Panchatantra. We love celebrating everything desi - ISRO wins, Diwali, Onam, all of it. Watching kids' eyes light up, that’s our jam. Stories make learning fun, and we’re here for your little ones.
My Work
All Our Fun Stuff - We do themed storytelling, story circles, parent-child workshops, public speaking for kids, and both online and offline summer camps.
Experiential Storytelling - We mix music, puppets, and Kamishibai story sessions. From Krishna tales to Christmas magic, we make stories an adventure.
Custom Sessions for Every Age - We’ve got something for toddlers, juniors, and seniors. Parents can join in too, because learning together is the best.
Learning That’s Actually Fun - Stories and activities to boost vocab, spark creative thinking, and build general knowledge while kids just have a blast.
