About this collection
These themes are more than just costumes; they are carefully crafted stories of our heritage. Whether it is a hand-painted backdrop for your little Varkari or a miniature flute for your Kanha, every prop is sanitized and chosen to keep your baby safe and cozy while we capture these divine frames.
I believe that every baby has a story to tell, and sometimes that story is rooted in the rich traditions we hold dear. My studio in Navi Mumbai has become a space where parents can bring their cultural heritage to life, creating timeless images that will one day show their children where they come from.
Why Choose a Cultural Theme?
These sessions are about capturing the essence of our festivals and traditions through the innocence of your newborn. Whether you want the playful, vibrant energy of a Krishna Janmashtami shoot or the peaceful, soulful vibe of the Varkari sampraday, I handle all the styling. You do not need to worry about sourcing tiny dhotis, floral headbands, or props like the tabla and veena—I have a collection ready in the studio.
My Approach to Traditional Shoots
Safety is my priority. Even when we are doing an elaborate setup like a Koli-themed portrait inspired by Ekvira Aai, I make sure the baby is always supported and comfortable. We take breaks for feeds and cuddles, ensuring the baby is never rushed. I am a certified newborn photographer, which means all props, fabrics, and costumes are UV-sterilized and soft on sensitive skin.
Creating Your Session
If you have a specific tradition in mind, let’s talk. I love blending creative photography with the spiritual significance of these themes. These portraits become family heirlooms, capturing a mix of faith, innocence, and love. It is pure magic to watch families connect with these photos, knowing they have captured a moment of tradition that will stay with them forever.
Mommy & Peaches Photography
Hi, I’m Achal. For me, capturing these traditional themes is like framing a piece of home. I love seeing the tiny smile of a 'Kanha' or the peacefulness of a sleeping Varkari, and I put my heart into every detail to make sure those moments feel just as special to you as they do to me.
