About this collection
I prepare every batch of henna fresh, usually 24 to 48 hours before your booking, using triple-sifted Sojat powder and mild essential oils like lavender or eucalyptus. This isn't just about the deep maroon stain you love, it is about making sure your skin stays safe and free from chemicals, which is especially important for events like baby showers where comfort is the priority.
Why I Choose Organic Henna
Many store-bought cones contain PPD, artificial dyes, and preservatives that can cause reactions or leave the skin dry and itchy. By mixing my own paste, I control exactly what goes onto your skin.
My Mixing Process
- Triple-Sifted Sojat Powder: I source high-quality powder from Sojat, Rajasthan, and sift it three times to ensure the consistency is super smooth. This prevents clogging while I am working, allowing me to draw finer, more intricate lines.
- Essential Oils: I use pure lavender or eucalyptus oil in my mix. These oils help release the lawsone (the dye molecule) from the henna leaves, which is what gives you that rich, dark maroon stain.
- Freshness First: Because I do not use preservatives, my henna is best used within 48 hours of mixing. This is why I ask for booking notice—I want to ensure the paste is at peak dye-release levels when I arrive at your home.
What to Expect
When I apply the mehendi, I also provide a lemon-sugar sealant. This keeps the henna moist on your skin for longer, allowing the dye to penetrate deeper. If you have sensitive skin, especially if you are pregnant, please let me know during booking so I can adjust the oil blend to be extra mild.
Mitali
I am Mitali, and for me, mehendi is as much about safety as it is about art. I refuse to use pre-made chemical cones because I want you to walk away with a dark, rich stain that is safe for your skin, whether you are a bride or a mom-to-be.
